Actually it was Psychonaut I was questioning, because he posted the name of a Beatles song after it was clear that Beefy was already claiming John Lennon. Since then, Psychonaut has essentially claimed George Harrison, so it's all good, except that he should choose more appropriate song titles/lyrics (in his defense, I'm not sure what exactly you CAN do with "my sweet lord" and "krishna krishna").

Ummm, the sing song only reveals who that person is; it doesn't say if they have any abilities or whatnot.

Because it confirms them as a townie. Mafia must destroy confirmed townies. They're almost as bad as detectives even in small numbers. In large ones, they destroy you without any other abilities at all.

It's because of the influence confirmed town has on other town. Tells them who can be trusted and who not to lynch. In sufficient numbers they can make it impossible for even a strong mafia team to win.
