Default recurring CTD´s after end of turn..

have this time again CTD´s after ending the turn ..so after the AI turn of the next season it crashes..

i play the baktrian kingdom with EB 1.2 (the fixes are installed) difficulty: very hard for battles and hard on strategy. its now 201BC in my campaign, no impending rebellions in my own satrapies - looked with "toggle_fow" for other unknown settlements but i dont know how i can check if there is an impending rebellion since i dont see any information if i doubleclick the settlements.. just interrogation marks.?

after the end oft turn CTD ocurred several times i tried to go back to a former Saved Game ..then again the two battles, but this time automatically (they were won anyway before manually) - and then new save - but again CTD´s after end of turn/beginning of next.

my upload of this last save: http://ul.to/xsdltr

hope anyone can help me out of this - would be pleased over some help.

    thanks,
    Kleitos

    addition,

sorry i doubleclicked the wrong settlements where i only saw interrogation marks... yes i found settlements with the pitchfork icon there..

in the Frequent Encountered Issues-thread i found some information about it now - ..i try to reduce the population in some but:

reduce how much? ...does -4000 works anytime or is this just an example? ...besides the pitchfork icon i dont see any information else ..population in particular. ..in case a settlement has less population and i reduce more as there actually is...no problem then?

also i found the pitchfork icon there ten times ...do i have to reduce the settlements really that often or is it to find the right settlement which really would revolt in the next round?

i actually provoked rebellions quite often in my surrounding enemy satrapies using spies and assassins therefore ..- thought thats a proper way to weaken or distract the enemy.. would you say thats then counterproduktive regarding the Game itself.
the settlements which i caused to revolt just turned to a eleutheroi settlement ..never had a CTD because of these rebellions. ..as far as i know - cause the game went on after that.

To see every single bit of information on the enemy territory just press F1, then click on the question mark, it will pop up the generic script, activate it like the EBBS and remeber to close the advisor with the X, not the portrait, now you can see all the single bit of info of every settlement, it restarts after you close the campaign, if it doesn't or you want it activated instantly, follow the same process. As a side note i would recomend using the add_money [ammount 0-4000] cheat and the move_character cheat so you can bribe the city, if it's guarrisoned by a FM, download the force diplomacy, activate it and go to any army or city of the owner and ask the city for map information or something else, if it is eleutheroi then you should bribe it, remember to save into another slot the changes you made, if you don't have enough money, just load it, add more and ask to be bribed, i think all eleutheroi towns and anrmies can be bribed

    Hope it works

    Hello Kleitos,

I found in your game just the mentioned rebellions, fixed them and was able to play another 5 rounds without problems, the file one turn after yours can be fount here: http://ul.to/3yjepe

    Concerning your second post:
There is no negative population, so the cheat simply will not work anymore beneath 400 population. The pitchfork-symbols will not disappear right now, the will get actualized in the turn who ever owns that settlement.
You can provoke rebellions, for some factions is this a very good starting tactic, but there is a chance the game will crash, it must not crash but don't be angry if it does.

thanks very much for the help and tips,

@Jirisys - ..to see every single bit of info of every settlement thats exactly what i missed when reducing the population only because of seeing the pitchfork icon - thanks

@XSamatan - i wanted to write here today that you dont have to take care of my saved game - ´cause you said you´ll do it on thursday ...but i am too late with that now anyway ... so, sorry that you had to work again on a saved game of mine.

just tried the reducing procedure with all the ten settlements and it worked (just used for all of them -4000 - not knowing until now if this was to much or not) - so i hope i will not bother you to much in future with reparing of my saved games ;-)

yes thats good to know that there is no chance for negative population.. i thought so that (pitchfork icon) it will not disappear right away ..but in the next round.

thanks very much for reparing it anyway - i saved it ..cause i was not sure if my new saved will last longer ...after all the rebellions disappeared i provoked one in my neighborhood and i had one CTD in the next round ..then yesterday i loaded the very same saved game and this time i could play it with no problem (the revolting settlement now was clear in hands of the former owner ..in that campaign a peaceful and weak neighbor)

but since i played just two rounds after repairing i´ll keep your saving and keep also in mind that provoking rebellions might be not so good ...in fact i better try it from now on without it.

    thanks a lot,
    Kleitos
