Half the time when I try to join a game online using steam I get the message:failed to join game:no reponse from host. Could anyone explain what this means,as it's annoying not being able to join games online,when I want?

There are lots of reasons that you can get the message "no reponse from host".

The person who hosted the game may not even still be there for one.

There is no guarentee that Steam can hook you up to a game with other players.

There are so many things that can go wrong with multiple players, multipal servers, and crossover friends connects.

A friend I have in the UK and I (US) can not join each others games ("no reponse from host"), but we can both join games hosted by a third friend in Canada.

Go figure!
