The most irritating thing to me is when you command a unit to a section of the map and it runs the complete opposite way. This can be even more annoying when they are almost engaged with a stronger foe!

The thing i hate the most is when your troops get killed by friendly fire. Yes i know it's realistic but you'ld expect the archers shooting right behind your guys to have the common sense to aim a bit higher... and of course diplomacy. Sometimes it makes no sense...

erm actually it happens especially with horse archers. Here you have them formed up in a loose line shooting at a phallanx. The phallanx moves to the flanks of your archer formation and voila! you just lost some of your boys!!! stupid stupid death !!!

yeah, if that was not happened, I could just charge all my horsearchers instantly all their way, and they will be insta rout everywhere..... seriously, without friendly fire, you could play extremely reckless with your HA, and they are still an invicible close combat (not too close) forces.... not to mention they allready carrying rapid firing sniper rifles in EB

I almost never charge with my HA even more so against a phallanx. And i wouldn't say HA are over-powered anyway. It takes 3 units of Pahlavan Shivatir(shooting from all sides) to completely destroy a unit of pantodapoi or clerouchoi phallangitai (on medium settings).Of course once horse archers start maxing up silver chevrons things changein my humble oppinion only nomad FM (Pahlava/Saka/Sauro) are seriously overpowered: Used en masse they can run through (almost) everything in a frontal attack, they can shoot (but that's when they're also at their weakest especially against Hetairoi which can charge them with lances) and are IMMUNE to missiles.Plus you get to field quite a few of those tanks at ridicously low price of 200 mnai/turn (and of course they regenerate).Cataphracts are similarly overpowered however their high cost-demands (MIC-recruitment-upkeep) kind of "temper" this edge. All in all i'ld say the nomad FM's are their faction's saving grace.

Yeah, but when you are galloping at the full speed, I'm sure you can't aim precisely to a soldier that lies 180 m beside you....
And I must said that the melee cavalry aspects are not overpowered... it was true in real life anyway, but the way they shoot is just ridiculously supreme
