Thread: Baby pictures
So this has kept popping up in my mind and it's one of those things that you don't really talk to people face to face about so I'm asking here. 
A week ago I had lunch with a friend and we then hung out at my apartment until my 3:00 class. She picked up an old photo album and started flipping through it. Then she saw some baby pictures of me and said "you're very cute" with a really pretty voice and an even prettier smile.
Unfortunately I couldn't appreciate this because all I was thinking about was that that statement in that context was kinda pedophilistic. It kinda ruined the entire afternoon because I kept thinking about it.
Now, knowing her, that most likely wasn't the intent at all, but I really can't help shake the feeling. Anyone else share this and hide their baby pictures from their significant other?

I'm not sure how you know her but she may have been chatting up to you a bit, if you get me.

Did I feel uncomfortable when my family (Dad, Mother, older brother, younger sister, older brother's girlfriend, grandmother and my girlfriend) discovered and viewed 16 year old VHS tapes? Played them on the TV and watched (amongst others, and the only really relevant one to this) a movie of me getting a bath when I was 8 months. Wow, I was naked. Sure it was weird, (especially when my girlfriend commented on my baby pee-pee) but I was a baby. Its an accepted part of life. There are pictures of you naked. And when I read things like this I love living here in the Netherlands. Such concerns are amazing to me, the girlfriend of a friend of mine just joins me in bath. No problem.Reenk, buddy, pal. The motherly feelings idea seems odder than my own impression (which I already agreed was unlikely). What I really wanted to know was say in the context of a romantic relationship, looking at old baby pictures and admiring physically still seems odd and potential sick. It's innocuous most likely, but still weird...

Note that almost every women will adore babies physically, bacause they are cute and all they want is kiss them, hugs them, and cuddle them... It was really different from men, who didn't had the feelings... yes, every women will do, especially to those cute babies....She's 21...
