Both girls have their own strong points. I'm wondering which is better for me in the long run.

Are you really sure that's what you are looking for: the long run? Reading your post it seems to me you might be looking for an excuse to go with #2: the precocious, unstable, attractive young student

In any case, unless you are obliged to enter into something contractual (engagement etc) before you can properly get to know either, i don't think you should get ahead of yourself on the "long term" thing -do you even know if that's what they might want?

I'd suggest going ahead with the parrallel dating until you get to the point of being seriously intimate (take whatever that means for you!) with one or the other. At that point I think you should draw a line and make a decision between them.
