    Default Stopping the voices!

No, not the voices in my head but the voices on the campaign map. I get so fed up with every single character saying the same inane things every single time I click on them. It's driving me nuts. The odd acknowledgment adds atmosphere, this constant chatter detracts from my enjoyment (or even toleration) of the game. Is there anyway to tone down the chatter, preferrably just reducing the frequency rather than removing it altogether? Somebody please help, or it's the shrink for me and retirement for M2TW (again)!

"The English are a strange people....They came here in the morning, looked at the wall, walked over it, killed the garrison and returned to breakfast. What can withstand them?"

I have done a little bit of modding in my time Slyspy but I have never meddled with voices. I think I may have found the necessary files though.

    programfiles/sega/medievalIItotalwar/data/sounds

They should be evident when on this page but if not I believe they are:

    voice1.dat
    voice1.idx
    voice2.dat
    voice2.idx
    voice3.dat
    voice3.idx

Maybe try the modding forum? It should be simple enough.
