Problem with Roman barracks

First of all you did a great job with this mod i´m playing it now several months and i´m still not getting bored of it.

But one thing that annoys me, is that in my roman campaign i can´t build roman barracks in newly conquered territories. Even in sicily i can´t build roman barracks.
I installed the game in i think last november with the newests patches and with other nations i never got some kind of similiar problem (suebez, makedon). Another thing is that i got a very low varity of roman troops to recruit. I got the polybian reform, but i still cannot build any kind of archer or siege troops.

Hope there´s a solution...

Welcome to the forum!

There is no solution, this is a feature of EB. It would be a-historic for the Romans to recruit troops outside Italia before reaching the Marian reforms. Same thing about siege weapons. Archers are auxiliary and can only be recruited after reaching the Agustean reforms.

Yeah, you have to recruit regional units to do the fighting (ie. levy troops, such as Hoplitai Haploi, etc) if you want to recruit troops from the provinces. -M
