Thread: AAAAAAAAARGH!!! Pahlava Campaign Crash (again!!!)...
ARCHIPPOS 19:10 04-02-2010
So i'm well into 249 BC playing as Pahlava. So far i hold 8 settlements and destroy countless AS stacks turn after turn after turn, while i slowly build up a mighty kataphract force to blitz the Arche up to Susa and Ekbatana.

Then this crash occured. Whenever i press the "end turn" button the game freezes- during the Makedonia or AS turn. After countless reloads and crashes i consulted the "frequently encountered issues and suggestions" guide. As suggested i used toggle_fow to check all non-rebel settlements on the map for rebellion and prevent them from doing so.Turned out the only settlements about to rebel (featuring the pitchfork icon)are the Arche: Antiocheia-Margiana, Phraaspa, Karkathiokerta, Nikaia and Makedonia: Byzantion.

My problem is this: I try to reduce the population of all rebellious settlements using the console command add_population <settlement> -4000 however the game does not recognize the command. The blasted message "error:settlement not found" appears. Do those settlements have some sort of different internal name??? any suggestions ???

PS. I play EB 1.1...

The correct command is add_population "settlement" -4000 ; not <> but ""
The internal and external names are for settlements the same, be suer to enter the exact text displayed.

To increase the public order you may want to use process_cq "settlement" to speed up building (most of the time an AI-settlement is going to rebel, the AI is actually building something with bonuses to public order.
