You could possibly interpret that as TinCow and Reenk Roink now owing their allegiance to the mafia, then.

Questionable place for your mind to go, Secura, despite the "walked home with" part of the write-up. Why would pevergreen make it blatantly obvious that the mafia just got two new recruits (and more to the point, named them)?

FOS you for casting doubt where it's probably not deserved.

The walking home was just a way for TC and RR to get back to the town. The two of them had to be released somehow. Storytelling, thats all that is.

It was a possibility, that is all. Why would people be tied up in sacks, constant references to beer-swilling beach bums and a bloody cat?

Who knows? This game genuinely baffles the bejebus out of me, that was the first thing that's really stood out, that's all.

Wasn't Sigurd the mafia that bagged tincow, and then some guys killed Sigurd in order to free Tincow (and apprently reenk roink..?) thats how I understand it anyway.

It seems like Sigurd was some sort of kidnapper role or something, and the mafia killed him and released his captives.

If you consider it from your interpretation, it would mean that Sigurd was mafia and grabbed TinCow and Reenk, and then two vigilantes or something freed them both, right? I'm leaning more towards the former, but you raise a good point.

    Ah.. carp!!

And I was going to save those excellent players until the endgame for some real anti Mafia gang up. Oh well... Enjoy being free and killable.

Well, his post just before yours raises some interesting questions:

It could just be bluffing, but it does sound as though the captives might have been immune to kills while tied up.

Earlier in the game everyone seemed to agree that those who are released later in the game cannot be trusted, however I don't think anyone was betting that Sigurd would be the one responsible, I don't know what to make of his role but it didn't look good to me. Why keep them in a bag if its all innocent?

This is from the night Reenk was kidnapped:
    Missing: 1/39
    Reenk Roink

Note about the Missing group: Players listed under 'Missing' are effectively dead. They cannot vote, nor can they be voted and they cannot perform or be targeted by Night Actions. They may, at a later date, however, return.
I am not saying Sigurd is telling the truth...but i think we can conclude if someone is missing they cannot be killed.

Hmm, as unlikely as I thought it to begin with I guess he could have been pro-town after all...

But he would have to kill himself in order to release people if nobody else killed him, right? And he easily could have been protecting mafia in that system, which is lethal.

Well there were two guys killing Sigurd so in hindsight, I would say they are either mafia, or perhaps masons, given that they are in pairs. Two vigilantes as you say isn't likely. But if they were mafia then the likelihood is that Sigurd isn't, and since when has a kidnapper been pro-town?
