Thread: Political Correctness in EB & Mods

Thumbs down Political Correctness in EB & Mods

I've only played the vanilla game and am looking forward to the realism mod, I chose EB over its competitor based on some comments I read.

How are forced relocations, slavery, mass rape and genocide handled in EB general?

If they aren't, is there a sub mod?

I asked a similar question in the EU II forums but they censored it, I said it was senseless to have control of Swedish provinces just to have them sit there getting more Swedish, I'm sure you all agree so help me.

AFAIK, only one of the subjects you mentioned is portrayed in EB and that is slavery. It works similar to the vanilla system (slave resource). It's displayed via several traits and ancillaries. IIRC if you have one general doing a little too much brutal conquering, he might get mental issues (traits again). That's about it, I think.

if you look for mass rape, then look for your general who develop "perverted" line of trait...

Lacks a bit of sense to ask about the "niceness" of a game when it's called Total War...
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

Is there anything that can be done about this? i.e. that involves no work for me.

Because its rife throughout history. If I knew the enemy army was going to take all of the women out of a province it would be part of the calculations I would be making, its just less fun without that stuff and no one ever includes it.

Given the propensity of the Greeks and Persians for such things as well as the Romans I imagine it all evened out. Don't worry yourself about it, and take your less delightful fantasies elsewhere.
