    Default The Caligula Tool

    Hi,
The Caligula add new units Tool.
    Has anyone tried that?
    Does it work with EB?
Does it work with a campaign already started or would I have to start a new campaign for the new added units to become available?
    Thanks.

Yes, I have used it for a previous version of EB. However, it was not designed with data files the size of EB's in mind, so it did occasionally choke on them. Back-up the EDU file before you use it.

Provided you do not remove existing entries, changes the EDU are save-game compatible.

Caligula is a program to view and edit export_descr_unit.txt (EDU), the file that holds the unit stats. You can download it here. I haven't had any problems with it but there are reports that it couldn't handle EB's EDU, presumably because of its sheer size. So, as always, make a back-up before you start modding.
