5 years in the Org...

1st of May 2005 and continuing...

My fifth year as an Orgah. Wow. I never thought I would get this far with my activity, but here it goes...

Thank you for the wonderful place called TotalWar.Org.

I migrated here form the forums at the .com after I was attracted by the fancy graphics and the interesting Mead Hall that provided me the opportunity to promote my literary work. Slowly but surely I started posting more and more over here until in the summer of 2005 I was dueling with King of Atlantis over the most posts per day, particularly in the Frontroom. I contributed to the other areas, and I particularly loved the Medieval TW section. Soon I migrated to RTW and the rest is history... After 5 wonderful years, and over 8200 posts, I'm looking forward to continuing in this place. I have been bestowed with the Senior Membership, and I have to say this is probably the place I have spent the most time over the whole internet.

I want to thank a couple of people, particularly TosaInu and his bunch of moderators (Beirut, BKS, Martok, Papewaio, Ser Clegane, Lemur...), the old Frontroom Guard ( King Henry V, Kagemusha, STFS, Louis, Gawain, GoreBag, Red Harvest, Ian_of_Smeg, Uesugi, Mikaeus, Pever, Sapi, Devastatin Dave, Omanes and many others, and thank you!). For those whom I have forgotten but are still there and know it, thank you!

All in all, a fun ride. And hopefully many more to come.

But still, I do want to shed a tear for all those amazing times and threads that have been around this place, and the people who made it. Most of the people whom I have mentioned are no longer on here. I fear it will never be the same, but to those memories, I raise the cup

Congratulations on your 5 year tenure. Glad that you are sticking around. You deserve much of the prasie you have given to your comrades!

I've not been around quite as long, but some of the names bring back memories... I remember ian of smeg, didn't he have something to do with the anti-jamster crusade?

Exactly...The Anti Jamster Crusade, oh wow, thanks for the memories. That was one hilarious thread. Pointless, but hilarious.

Congratulations edyz. Five years is a long time in this on-to-the-next-new-thing world. I'm also glad to hear you haven't tired of the Org. I look forward to your 10th anniversary.
