Hey, I was just wondering if anybody was planning, in one of their remotest, back corners of their subconscious, to make the Brotherhood of the Sword, the left out Polish Crusader Order Knight. I think it would be cool and quite easy just to make a small "addendum" to the game and give the Polish the ability to Crusade AND include the Brotherhood. However, I am just a guy who plays around with the txt. files and doesn't know how difficult making a unit. I was thinking that the Brotherhood would be a sword knight (obviously) with stats comparable to the Templar. Just a thought: Perhaps they could be disorganized and prone to charge?
    -Thanks.

Hmmm... a combination of Teutonics and Templars... Interesting.

You could copy the Templars into a new line and call them KnightsSword, and then copy and rename the Templar shields, but that way you would only have a Polish Templar with another name.

i dont understand why they would be polish tho - the sword brethren were Germanic and from Riga in livonia(in modern day latvia). i think you are refering to the order of dobryzn - but even though its in modern day poland, way back when it wasnt conscidered poland

any evidence to suggest that they were polish? - i may be wrong

I wouldn't know. Ask CA. In the Crusaders txt. file, besides chapterhouse, there is a // signifying that the polish cannot have crusades or crusader units. However, right next to it was a note saying "Remove // if Polish ever get Brotherhood of the Sword Crusade unit."

I have been working on a Brothers of the Sword mod for a few weeks. It is finally finished and I have uploaded it to totalwar.org. It is also at my site:

Which shows some of the graphics I have used.
