Pick your power mafia went well, but instead of running a re-hash, I'm going to run "Pick your side" mafia.

When you sign up, pm me your choice of alignment: town, mafia, or "other". Once I have all of the choices, I will try and make them into a balanced setup, by creating factions and distributing powers.

I agree, as a joke "atheotes is always mafia" is sometimes funny, but voting because of that is lame. At least there is not bandwagon on that sole argument this time...

That is such a WIFOM. Considering we are playing a game where you can choose to be mafia, surely the fact that you are able to cry "meta"is quite a cosy defence?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is quite possible that for example, 5 out of 7 of us chose to be mafia aligned, I see this more of a free for all more than a stereotypical townie vs mafia.

perhaps 5 mafia out of 7 is too big a number to balance...but i wouldnt be surprised if we have 3 mafia. the town will just get some powerful roles...example: ability to investigate 2 people.

@Thermal: Thanks for unvoting me, but don't do me any favors. You know I've played in 2 games on TWC, so I am not such a noob anymore. If I can't get people to trust me, I'll go out first day, and that's fine with me.

Agreed that having five mafia would be too powerful, specially if they can kill at night and all know each other like a standard mafia game. In such a case we could lose the game after the first night. So what Yaropolk said make sense, it is possible that our host may have refused some requests to have a balanced scenario. Does that make him more likely to be townie, mafia or neutral?
