Default San Antonio Texas, The City Of The Future

Going along with our theme, this article was in the times today

    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/09/ma...agewanted=4&hp

I post this for a couple reasons

    1. I gotta rep the hood

    2. I think it provides great insight to what the new immagrants will look like in a few generations, most of America is fearing something they shouldn't. That isn't to say I don't have some problems with some of what Castro says (esp what kind of premeium is put on "race" and unfailry painting the Alamo as an Anglo venture) but I have the same problems to the north of me with the German Czechs and Polacks to the north of me. If anything there just lighter skinned Mexicans with better beer and kielbasa.

Point being I think its intresting and everyone should read about San Antonio the greatest city in the world.
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

That's the ticket. Takes a couple generations, but so far, things work out in less than 60 years, even if grampa fusses about the family being 'invaded'. It's been ever thus.

Does this all mean that San Antonio will not turn into some sort of Miami - where one must speak Spanish to be part of the Cosa Nostra that's monopolised local politics?
