Good day fellow EB fans!
I'd finally like to start online EB-ing since beating the AI doesnt give that much satisfaction, compared to beating the DAISY out of you guys (muaahahahaha!).
I just wonder, you (by you I mean: those of you who play OL battles) usually play with an unmodified EB on rtw.exe?
thank you

Unmodified and RTW.exe
On my home computer I have RTW.exe with a few minimods which have no effect on MP (FD, RS textues and extra historical battles).
On my laptop I have alex.exe with the ||Lz3|| minimod pack and the ones mentioned above.
I've never played on the Alex one, so looks like I can try out against you!

I had an unmodded EB with RTW.exe for MP battles and a modded one with Alex.exe for the campaigns.
The current "standard" is EB 1.2 (with or without fixes) on multiplayer EDU without any unit-altering mods and with the RTW engine 1.5. But I'm currently beginning a campaign to change all that. Well, not all of it. Only the part with RTW engine 1.5. Changing it to ALX engine 1.9 in order to make online gameplay fair and square (no phalanx bugs). You'll hear more about it by sometime tomorrow.
I play campaigns with BI.exe, will use RTW for MP battles if I ever do them.
BI.exe to play a highly modified campaign (containing some stupid units for my own amusment, currently change most of Roman units with Orcs taken from certain mod, but I can't share that due to permission issues)
RTW.exe for MP
* ADD : and I have two separate installment of EB, the MP installment is pure...

Ok then I will install EB again for RTW.exe. Thanks.
I play RTW.exe if the other player doesn't have BI, but otherwise I always play with BI.

You bad wolfy! those poor orcs are ofended. What where you thinking?? Comparing them to Romies!?. Seriously you made one of them cry.

It would be nice to switch to ALEX since I feel the game just performs better and faster and more stable.
I dunno, Orks believe that if you paint it red, it will go faster and the Romans are highly associated with red.
I think he was refering to Orcs not Orks from WH40k, but maybe im wrong, either way the orks/orcs are ofended.
BTW i use Alex.exe, its much much better.

How much faster? Three times faster?

That's right. But it also is necessary if anybody is wishing to play with phalanx units. RTW and BI are bugged, but ALEX fixed the phalanx bug. I'll start making it a requirement on my network sometime in June when my
EB Online site is done (i.e. looks more than just another .txt file...).

Could you enlighten me with what the phalanx bug is?

Do you mean to say you've never actually seen a phalangite moonwalk before?
EDIT: Done. Check the EB Online link in my sig if you want in on the action.
