Germany will unleash a shot feast of hell. Netherlands will beat Spain in extra time with one goal.

You're an Octosquidist. In fact THEY know who you all are. Beware the tentacle at the door around 2:00 am.

There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

Will the Germans score in double figures and then score nude lap dances from Larissa Riquelme?

Hmm, if you add up the votes for Holland to win and Spain to win you get 29, but only 28 people have voted. Somebody is playing silly buggers.

PS (Come on Holland , come on Germany !)

    I predict a hard-fought, ultra-tactical game that ends up 2-1 for Holland.

I vote for Villa to score for Spain, with the goals by Robben and Van Persie. Sneijder won't score, he will be guarded really well.

    ESPAÑA for the cup!

Making it to the final for the first time (after playing a semi-final for the second time ever) has been treat enough but I'll probably order a vuvuzela if they win the final game. They've got my heart not least with their beautiful football but especially for Barça forming more than half the squad.

One of my closest friends is a fan of the Netherlands btw. Watching the final together shall be fun.

What I didn't keep in mind when I predicted 6-0 was that it's really a big deal for the Urus to come thus far in a tournament. Plus they feel like a really big football nation themselves. Germany on the other hand played without Lahm, Podolski and Klose. Both teams showed character: first the Urus turned the game around, and then the Germans did the same. The very last second of the match saw an incredibly near miss by Forlán. I think they'd have been capable of turning it around a third time. Müller performed outstandingly. I wonder what would have happened if he had been on the field versus Spain.

Spain probably deserved it but I think the pundits are a bit harsh slating the Dutch teams play style. The Spanish have consistently played a very contained game of football, trying to hold possession and pass it around a lot. Not only is this incredibly boring to watch (I'll come back to this in a minute), but it undoubtedly frustrates Spain's opponents. The Dutch knew they couldn't match Spain player for player (not surprising due to the world class talent not only on the pitch but also on the bench), and so they had to play an aggressive game. I don't blame them one bit.

Anyway, congratulations to all you Spaniards, I don't think there is that many here though. Despite the win I really feel this has been an under whelming World Cup. Spain always seemed in control of their games, but nothing more. From a team which oozed footballing talent by the bucket load, you really expected something more exciting. This was no 1998, undoubtedly it was less eventful than than 2006 World Cup.

Many will say it's not how you win, but if you win. As a spectator I have to disagree with this however. The promise of a great World Cup showed signs of materialising at times but unfortunately, it never did materialise. I don't want to take anything away from the Spanish but I just hope this isn't the way international football is going. I even begun channel flicking during the latter half of the game, I shouldn't have to do that in a World Cup Final..

    Congratulations to the Spanish!

I do see how their play style may make other teams angry but there should be a better way to beat them than to foul them all the time.
I was rather disappointed by the dutch fouls, especially de Jong as shown above and I am quite happy that Iniesta (who, according to FIFA, got fouled 8 times by the dutch) made the winning goal.

I do think the dutch played well overall but they have to work on that uppity behaviour and fouling, Spain played the fairer game and had to work a bit more, too, today, so IMO a well deserved victory.
