    Question Dead Xbox 360, questions.

I want to get rid of my 360 and sell it off for parts. I want to keep my hard drive so I can transfer the files onto another hard drive when I buy a new 360.

The question is, by keeping the hard drive, am I taking all my personal information with me or is there an internal drive in there that I should be worried about? If so, how do I go about clearning that up? My 360 is dead so I can't boot it up and go to any menus of any kind.

I know of no internal drives and don't remember seeing any when i had mine open a year ago. You'd be surprised how much of that internal space is eaten up by the heatsinks and the HD-DVD drive.

I'm almost certain any financial information you have is stored on the HDD.

edit: The newer model "360 Arcades" do have internal memory but they don't come with hard-drives, it seems limited to the arcade model only.

Alright, sounds good. Thanks! I have the normal kind, not the arcade so no worries then.
