Can't save at all.

Ok, so I can't find my MTW2 Disc right now, so I decided to re-install Rome total war on my laptop. The problem is though I can't save during a campaign at all. It says like Failed Save. Can't save to disc.

I'm not sure what to do at all. I don't know if its trying to save onto the CD or if Vista is stopping me or what.

Any help would be sooo helpful, I'd love to start playing again, and I was looking at the updates and I was going to download v1.3 but the link no longer works.
Anyways Please help me guys.

Do you have Administrator rights in Vista?

I don't know Vista so.. somebody like to chip in?

Otherwise doublecheck Rome folder attributes in case its read-only for some weird reason...

If this is Vista/7 right click your RTW exe and check "Run as administrator".
