    Default Hardcodes

This is my first post and I was thinking of modding medieval 2 total war but I have a question before i start. Is there a place where all the medieval 2 total war hardcodes are posted. Thanks in advance.

Hello zbullock0597, welcome to the .Org .

I am not entirely sure what you mean, but if you are asking for the limitations of modding: hardcode refers to everything that's inside the .exe file. So, in order to know what you can modify, just look at all the M2:TW files that are not the .exe file.

Ah, I see. I don't know if such a list has been made for M2:TW. The faction limit is now 31, including the rebels. Model limit has been increased considerably from R:TW so unless you intend to push the limit this shouldn't bother you. I can't help you with the other limits.

I think such a list exists, but over at TWC. While it is down, I'll help with some hardcodded limits I remeber. The region limit is at 199(+1 for all watery terrain) You can have about 8 different religions. There are 500 models, the map is also 2.5 times RTW biggest give or take; and you can only have one papal faction. As Ludens already said however, you will probably not reach the limits unless you are doing a complete overhaul of the game.

Actually most of what you have said is incorrect. The limit is 10 religions, there is no known limit on models, the maximum map size is the same as rome 510x510, and there have been more than one papal faction added before, I believe it just can't be more than one per religion.
