Hello and welcome to the forum!

If you are new to EB, be sure to not miss the EB-FAQ

Concerning your problem, I would ask you to start RTW alone and report the results. Are there any other programs that give you a similar error?
The file it crashed is the virtualization for a 32bit program under a 64bit environment. Is your OS 64bit?
Are you running RTW with administrator-rights?

Thanks for your replies. RTW runs and plays fine and no problems or CTDs encountered with any other software/games on the machine.

Have tried running as administrator but there is no change.

To be more specific, when running EB I get a RTW splash screen which quickly switches to the full screen application with the activision RTW splash behind it. Then it just exits to desktop within a second with no error message.

Is this Windows 7 64 bit specific, has anyone else run EB on this OS??

The crash should be 64bit specific, as the last loaded .dll is a 32bit virtualization. You are the first one who reports something like this here, but crashes due to that file are reported elsewhere.

Is this splash-screen the vanilla one?
