I'm not going to die without a fight.
If I get lynched protown doing stupid stuff, I won't forgive my self.
Im not sure if i should, but im going to
Vote: autolycus
because i got a pm asking to set up a group before the game actually started but pms were out. makes me feel he's slightly excited - possible role?
Since I can't abstain to show I'm present: I'm very busy today and tomorrow. This is the kind of vote in which I'd like to be able to unvote if something changes or new information is posted. Since I won't be able to return to this thread until well after the deadline, I'm not voting and I wish you all good luck.
Worst power role ever, and I should know, because I just had one at CFC that was identical; all that does is kill you and make the person you died in place of a target for the next night instead... it's doing the mafia's job for them. I sympathise for you.
On another note, what is it that autolycus is supposed to have done, Chaotix? Are you suggesting that he participated in the attack against Beskar or merely that he's leaking information?
I can certainly vouch for him on the former, as can three others, as we were protecting someone overnight. He also PM'd us after we had recieved our results from Subotan and stated that he'd just been appointed as an officer and wouldn't be able to participate in forming our clique anymore, so I'm not sure he was able to leak information from the Chairman to anyone else if he was only appointed after the results were out; only the Chairman or other officers can confirm or deny that assumption, though.
"Blacker than a moonless night. Hotter and more bitter than Hell itself… that is coffee."
I'm more suspicious of taka than I am of Beefy right now. I find the claim credible enough to allow him the chance to die proving it.
vote: taka
Chaotix at least had a reason to put a little pressure on the officers, but taka's follow-up vote on the basis of mere enthusiasm feels opportunistic, especially when coupled with his public mea culpa about having failed to join one of GH's protection groups. Nervous, taka?
I also still want to know why GH actually told Beefy anything.
There is no way beefy should be lynched...make a vig group, have him protect a scummy person, attack the vig group, kill beefy, if we ever want to test it. Or we can just have him protect important people at random for a while.
I don't understand the talk about the kill being on a protection target--if it implicates anyone, it's the people in the protection group, yeah? Like in capo III.
unvote, vote:Azazoth
You don't know who you're dealing with. Even if every single member of this detachment votes to execute Azazoth I will remain unharmed.
I suppose there are worse ways to spend day one than testing a lynch immune claim.
my bad.
unvote, vote:Azathothethot
Wut?
Sasaki is accusing people and then not voting for them. How scummy.
Unvote: Beefy, Vote: Sasaki Kojiro
That's odd claiming lynch immunity after only one vote on yourself, when Beefy was ahead with like 4-5. Why would you give that information so easily?
vote: Azathoth
Ronamic is a bit confused I think.

Comrade Azathoth, are you saying that if it is the will of the people that you die, you will defy it?
Unvote Vote: Azathoth
My game on Civfanatics could use a few more!: MNOTW XVII: The Cursed Blade!
ACIN is an officer with a very important role. You shouldn't disrespect him. Remember that though we remain few in number and under constant threat of assassination and discovery by IJA units, the example we set for the people may well have a significant impact on the outcome of the war. I choose to support our leaders rather than belittle them for small impurities in their characters which are inevitable in any human and, might I add, do not in any way impact their ability to serve the people and the revolution.
I love the fact that most people didn't catch the real exchange between Sasaki and Azathoth, and now think that Azathoth made a lynch-immune claim. That's pretty funny. Read more carefully.
Unvote, Vote: Beefy
My vote on autolycus before was because I had to pick someone who knew about the protection to put pressure on. Now that we have someone who both knew about the protection AND had no business knowing about it. That looks like a good lynch to me, role claim or not.
Statistically, there's a larger chance of someone who was informed of the protection being scum than there is for both the protection group and the scum picking Beskar coincidentally.

Bodyguard does not seem like a scum roleclaim. Let alone bodyguard who WINS by being killed. So there is no reason to lynch beefy. Now that we have someone who both knew about the protection AND had no business knowing about it. That looks like a good lynch to me, role claim or not.
No? How? What? There aren't statistical odds for scum deciding to attack someone they know is protected. And you are talking about probability anyway.Statistically, there's a larger chance of someone who was informed of the protection being scum than there is for both the protection group and the scum picking Beskar coincidentally.
Chaotix sounds like he's very concerned with protecting azathoth.
Chaotix and I go way back.
We grew up in the same village.![]()
That's true. Chalk it up to lack of thought behind that vote I guess. So what do we do with him, then? Waste our night actions to get him killed?
Yep, probability. When you think about it in that sense:No? How? What? There aren't statistical odds for scum deciding to attack someone they know is protected. And you are talking about probability anyway.
-There is a 1/40 chance GH chooses Beskar to be protected, and a 1/40 chance nationalists choose Beskar to be killed. For both of those to occur at the same time, it's a 1/1600 chance.
-There are at least 4 insurgents in the game. 2 of these are Japanese, the ones concerned with the leaking. There are roughly 10 people out of 40 who knew about the protection. The chance that a player is Japanese is 1/20, and the chance that that player was in the group of 10 is 1/20 X 1/4 = 1/80.
Of course, this is a real, live game. So probability is not always applicable - due to behaviors of individual players, certain among them are more high-profile (like Beskar) and therefore more or less likely to be chosen for certain actions. At the same time, there's a greater chance for insurgents to try to get themselves positioned as officers.
Any way you slice it, it's more likely that this was not just a coincidence.
Not really. I would vote him if I got a scum vibe from him. I just thought it was kind of funny that Romanic still hasn't figured out what exactly happened there.

vote: taka
Though the case against Comrade taka is far from water-tight, his Neo-Trotskyite Bandwagonism leads me to question his ideological commitment.
Comrades Beefy and Autolycus, on the other hand, should be given a chance to prove themselves devoted soldiers of the Revolution.
And while Comrade Azathoth could use some self-criticism for his Pseudo-Revisionist Nose-Tweakery, his good humour in this time of struggle gives confidence for full rehabilitation.
Vote: Winston Hughes.
I was relocating to my next temporary location yesterday. As per the leak- I consider it highly unlikely. T'was the first night. If there was a hostile leak, it would 1) Be entirely too soon to act on it, 2) Raise potential alarms, and 3) Help extend the game when that is entirely not in the interests of hostile forces. Further, from the perspective of a Japanese/Nationalist, its an entirely sensible kill to see if any alarm can be raised against our glorious chairman.
