    Default Problem with Romani reforms

    Hello,

I recently installed EB on my new computer (Windows 7) I am now playing my first campaign, with the Romani. Very quicly I mached the conditions for the Polybian reform as described under the FAQ thread but I've got no sign of the reforms, I'm now already in 192 BC and nothing has happened yet.
Since I mached the conditions I upgraded ceveral native MICs in Italy, I upgraded one after 210BC and I uprgaded numbers of local MIC's though not in my factional homeland.
The ony thing I don't have is a Huge City in Italy.
Can somebody tell me what can be wrong?

    David

You did activate the script, did you?

Btw, this should be moved to the appropriate place...

Sorry, I had to do that, sorry. Welcome to the forums!

If you don't activate the script, the game only works half, you will miss out on the vast array of great features this mod has.

It is very easy, everytime you load or start your game, and click a settlement, the advisor will pop up and tell you how to activate it. You can do this by clicking the show me how button and you're done.

Since you get the reforms after 30 years (if you activate the script), this means that if you keep activating the script now it will start counting. You can either try to play this game further or start over a new one and activate the script.

It is not very hard to miss, the license agreement of EB 1.2 says it, a quote says it and the advisor will keep saying it.

    Good luck with further campaigning!

I think the frequency with which the Advisor popped up in RTW even when you set it to no advice, has conditioned many players to just ignore the stupid twat.

Put it this way, in EB it is a good idea to listen to him when he appears.

Now, for the script, Fluvius is right, it does say just about everywhere we can that you should activate him. But hey, you missed it, so let us solve the problem...

It is not really solvable. You should really start over I think, and remember to activate the script..And welcome to the Org.

Well I have always turned advice off, even in my first RTW campaign. So I was surprised when he still popped up, I'm glad when he pops up now it is something important. Script activation, an important event on the map or FD.

I used the script and now everything's fine, I'm used to ignore that advisor but now I'll pay mome attention to it!
Now I look back I see that I must have skipped the script part of the FAQ :s
I think I'll start over with the script activated.

I can only wish you the best of luck!

Good luck with your 2nd Romani campaign, hopefully it will be even more fun now. For example, you will see something interesting when you besiege Rhegium and Messana. I think you will love all extra features and the reforms. That's for you to find out!
