John claimed to me being a Universal Back-Up. When he said this, I confronted about him being a back-up of Khaan, however, he told me he only back-up'd abilities, not roles and that he was an investigator.

I was just rechecking the powers list when I noticed what it said.


Therefore, John is a back-up of 'Khaan, therefore, he is a mafia.

There is alternative scenario too. Johnhughthom was a mafia anyway, when 'khaan got killed and he was a mafia, there wasn't any changes. Therefore, when ArgTHIS died, he became a mafia with investigation.

There's also another point to consider: the rules don't say that mafia can't get certain roles. This means that the role of back-up can go to a mafioso. So, even if john is saying the truth, the fact that he got the detective role from Arpeg doesn't clear him at all. The back-up role is useful for mafia, so it's perfectly possible that the role went to a mafioso.

Of these people, I am confident at least one is guilty. None are voting, so obviously the scum hasn't voted yet. They don't need to, either. With the current vote tally, there's no chance of being able to force a lynch of a guilty party. Someone has to change their vote or someone needs to vote.

I'm open to suggestions if people don't like the current candidates.

Well, if people here want to play risky/potentially very badly, we could lynch Johnhughthom today. I agree there are two different ways he could be guilty; starting mafia or backup mafia. If he is our cop though, we've made a blunderous blunder of epic proportions. I would consider it because I am that type of player. The best way to live a couple of rounds is to claim cop.

I also get bad feelings about CDF. I do not know which is the best choice here. But we could settle it by.... voting. Whatever we do, we need to do it quick.

The vote for Khaan was to get the many, many investigators off of his back, because he believes they are always on his back. A distancing tactic, and a way to gain my trust, and gain information. He's quite familiar with this strategy, he's used it basically every time he's been mafia. Mafia Mongolica, for example. Getting a teammate to attack him in the Beefy game. And so on. He learns that I am bulletproof early on, and that is why I am not murdered in the first two nights. And that is also why Andres used his power against me, because he knew I was bulletproof. In his position as scum he knew for a fact JHT was not a scum cop, but a real one. His vote for John this round was for the sole purpose of having a double whammy.... a terrible lynch for the town, a dead cop, and the town bulletproof dead, all coordinated with Andres' suicide attack. It works too well, however. I don't believe that things worked out so conveniently for the mafia by accident alone. As much as I would like to claim that CDF is guilty and I had hounded all three of the scums since day one, I am not that clever or lucky. No, this was all a Xanatos Gambit, designed to send Beskar across the finish line in triumph.
