We can't outvote Beskar I dont think. If that's the case then he's not guilty, and Romanic I strongly believe is innocent.
Could you vote CDF, Romanic?

So... that was a three or four hour long phase?
Also I'm killing pizza every time I'm mafia from now in the first night phase.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.
That was cheap, Sasaki. Romanic still never voted and I had ample time to change my vote, especially as you advertise one hour in advance of the deadline.

For catching all the mafia...
Comments:
This game is a lot of fun to mod, watching all the numbers and role choices come in. Bad luck for the mafia day one which could have turned out nice for them if beskar had gotten more town cred for lynching khaan. The andres lynch turning to JohnHuhthom-cop-lynch was just too convenient though.
I improvised a bit for the last day, I figured beskar would be the lynch target but there were several townies who weren't showing up to vote. Including caesar who requested "super strength" as his power and never showed :p So I modkilled them. Town had to get beskar to vote CDF to win. Which they did.
Masons got hamstrung night one. Mafia's role choice ended up hurting them I think. They could have taken vig. Lots of good roles didn't get chosen though.
The mason claim would have saved him though if he got there in time.
And three townies killed for you :D
Probably why he took bulletproof. If you'd had empowerer you could have got around it though. Also I'm killing pizza every time I'm mafia from now in the first night phase.
THAT is exactly why I took bulletproof. I can be a real stinker at times, and I need to be wearing a bulletproof vest at all times.
I was NOT expecting to be the first choice (thought it would be nice, but I would have been happy with whatever), and being so high on the list and not being mafia, I knew that a night kill if I got anywhere near close to dangerous was inevitable. Only a bulletproof role could help. But empowerer, suicide bomber, or just plain old getting me lynched could have worked.
I am impressed Andres took the suicide bomber role just like he claimed. I forgot all about that, but if anyone would grab it he would. Or Khaan, frankly. I picture Khaan as a very dangerous unstable guy when he's playing mafia games. Probably not like that IRL but here, oh heck yeah.
Also: bleeping investigators up my butt on Night One ALL THE TIME!!!! AAAAARRRRGGGHHHH I JUST TOOK OUT A MAFIOSO LEAVE ME THE FLIP ALONE!!!!!
Metagamers!!! All of you!!!

That was fun to watch. Kinda sorry you lost on short notice, Beskar, but it was bee-yoo-tiful to witness regardless. :) And you did make out ridiculously with the WOGs; short that you had no chance because even if you were genuine townie and the last mafia someone else, the town had to vote you today. You just can't let things like your vote for JHT slide by, or the mafia will do it all day long and twice on Sundays.
Fun game to watch, nice job all.
Except arpeg...arpeg was going to catch beskar if he hadn't been killed. That would have been devestating for the mafia.
Mmm.... that was a good murder choice. Romanic's early reveal that he and arpeg were mason was premature. I immediately called him on it to reverse it, and thank the beer gods he did. But I think Khaan saw it....
See Khaan, it wasn't spam at all, it really WAS green eggs and ham.I am a ninja of nonsense. Even meaningless things can be deadly.
But Andres,I swear my case on you wasn't total rubbish; if those who vote for you end up murdered, and everyone you're voting for is someone I know is innocent, then you're either a townie that's off the mark a bit too much for my taste or a mafia responsible for those deaths, and trying to get rid of power roles by the lynch itself. Both are dangerous, one needs to die immediately. Out of two days worth of activity, that was seriously the best case one could come up with based on no data besides voting patterns and kill patterns...... IMHO
I'm misunderstood.![]()

I'm still surprised anyone would think I'd lynch my own partner, day one, in a game this small with trackers and cops around.
For the record, and just so everyone knows: I would never lynch my own mafia partner on day one, because there is no upside for me in particular. It buys me exactly zero credibility. If it didn't end up sparing Beskar completely from my suspicions, and I think my reputation is at least as ruthless than his, then it certainly won't spare me from yours. More likely I'd attempt to save my partner because my big suspicious butt is going to end up dead eventually, and I need someone from my team to be able to survive after I'm gone. Rarely, if ever, would I lynch my own partner at any time. What I MIGHT do is make a big show of defending someone else so that when I do die, you think they are guilty. That's more plausible.
You almost expect the mafia to vote for each other at this point. It's like an unwritten rule. Better is to fall into whichever category is the largest: those who didn't vote for your partner, those who didn't vote at all, or those who did vote for your partner. Whichever is the largest gives you the least differentiation from the group and is therefore the easiest to hide in. If there's 20 people voting for someone, chances are, you will find at least one mafia in there blending in. Granted, here you have the added bonus of it was actually Beskar's vote that finished his own partner and was the deciding vote, which is more unusual, but mafia still do that if they are exceedingly ruthless. It's not unheard of. (See: Sasaki when he's at mafiascum, or so I've heard) And you'll note Arpeg still scanned Beskar here, so.... yeah. It's expected of me that I would do that, and yet it is still so wrong. It spared me not from the scan, it spared Beskar not from the scan. We were both scanned up and down. It's not a tactic that should be expected to gain much in return, because over and over again you will find out it proves nothing, and history shows it isn't a reliable indicator at all, especially when the players involved aren't new.
I'm not saying it is a bad strategy.... it often works, even though the trick is getting older than dirt at this point. But I think it is wearing out its welcome and is being sniffed out more.

If only they hadn't killed me, eh?
Even so, just watching the game from the sidelines was hilarious, especially with an ending like that. Kudos, CDF and Pizza. And a "woop woop" for the townies.
Edit: So yeah, thanks Sasaki![]()
Arpeggio: A broken chord. Arpeggiate: Breaking up a chord. ArpeggiateTHIS, scumbag.
Mmm, yes, thanks very much for organizing this game Sasaki.
A very close game, in spite of all our efforts. Inactives plus that still-brilliant suicide bombing/lynch cop move and then all the WOGs made this one a nail-biter.

Also, Beskar was practically revealing to the world that he was the double voter by being the only guy voting for someone and having 2 votes on said individual![]()
You cannot add days to life but you can add life to days.
Blah, I missed the game completely. My apologies to all the players and to Sasaki for my inactivity. I moved to a new appartment and we just got the Internet connection, and I didn't bother much with getting on another connection in the last five days, as I was very busy.
Good job town, I wished I had helped.![]()
I just finished running through the thread properly. Wow wow wow, we were only 3 left. My inactivity could have cost us the gameGlad we didn't.
ArpTHIS and I were mason, as you know. He took cop, and I picked Inverter to deny it to the mafia and because I had contact with the cop, so nobody would scan me as mafia anyway. We would also know if one people picking ahead of me would have picked Inverter, and would have been able to react accordingly (i.e. start scanning people who picked their skills after me) Good idea or not? Any comment on that?
I'm still unsure about it and very surprised that no mafia bothered trying to get Inverter. Is it such a crappy skill?
The game concept, picking our power, and knowing who picks when, opens up a new level of strategy that I like a lot. I'd play in a similar game any day.
Thanks for hosting Sasaki, and my apologies about my inactivity. Very untypical of me, but real life denied me an easy internet access for 8 days![]()
