Questions about elite unites

Do you need to be a certain faction to play with the non-faction specific units. Like in order to use the Cordinau Orca or the Boii Cingetos, do you have to be a gallic faction, or even like in order to play with the Taxeis Triballoi, you have to be getic? is there a way i can make then useable to any faction as long as i have the city that they are in? Like i was playing as Macedon, and i owned Naissus and created all the barracks but i didnt see the Triballoi to be recruited..

Well I can vouch for the Sweboz being able to recruit Boii Cingetos. I wouldn't consider them elite though, they look cool and elite but they're actually like Polybian Principes with nerfed morale, not incredibly useful sadly...

See this thread for advice on how to make a unit recruitable for another faction. Just beware to backup your files before you mod them. Good luck and have fun!

Cordinau Orca, Thraikioi Rhomphaiaphoroi and Alan Nobles are recruitable for every faction, usually with regional barracks. Most other elite units are tied to one or two factions though.
Boii Cingetos aren't elite, but they can be recruited by several Celtic and Central European factions.

Well i built the highest regional barracks that it would let me, in Singidum where the Cordinau Orca are and it didnt let me recuit them. and i tryed it with both KH, Macedon, and Epirus.

Impossible. At least Epeiros even has a "factional" skin for this unit. You need a government Type IV and a level 5 regional MIC. The one with the brown-ish roof, not the red one.
