Brawl Royale [Sign-ups]

Mario relaxed in his comfortable stadium seat. Up on the stage, a heated battle raged between the pink puffball Kirby and the battle-angel Pit. Kirby dodged, rolled, kicked, and used the massive suction created by his mouth to suck in and hurl heavy objects at his adversary. Pit, meanwhile, moved his legendary bow in a lightning-fast flurry of attacks- one moment he was firing arrows of light, and the next he was slashing with two daggers as the bow split apart.
It was all exhibition, of course. After the defeat of Tabuu, things were quiet in the World of Trophies. For a while afterward, none of the brawlers wanted to fight anymore. But with nothing else to do, in a world created solely for the purpose of battle, they slowly drifted back towards their favorite pastime. There was no longer any danger involved- almost all matches were watched by fans, and as soon as a fighter was defeated and transformed into a trophy, he or she had to be reactivated immediately, or the “slayer” would receive severe consequences.
But even Bowser and Ganondorf had felt the horrors of trophication. They still weren’t the nicest evil supervillains around, but they respected the other characters enough to follow the rules. Mario hadn’t been forced to save Princess Peach in a long time, now.
And so, it was while Mario was sitting back and enjoying a friendly match between his two comrades that an odd event occurred. The event was peculiar, but it was not the first time it had happened. It was familiar, and a slight pang of dread flickered in Mario’s heart before his usual heroism emerged. Mario took one look at the massive Subspace portal that had opened in the blue sky, and jumped to his feet, fists clenched.
But this time, the characters couldn’t even attempt a resistance. Such portals had opened up all over the World of Trophies, and instead of pouring out millions of dark creatures like they had done in the past, these portals began sucking the world into Subspace itself. Tabuu had re-emerged, and had evidently found a way around using the Subspace Bombs... instead of bringing Subspace to the physical world, Tabuu was bringing the entire physical world into Subspace!
Or so it seemed, anyway. By the end of the attack, much of the World of Trophies remained where it was, apart from a few massive, gaping holes of white nothingness. Only the largest, most important landmarks had been taken- the places where epic battles had been fought in Tabuu’s last invasion. And along with these old battlegrounds had disappeared every single one of the great trophy fighters.
It was time for another brawl. A Brawl Royale.

Welcome to my newest game, and my first non-mafia game: Brawl Royale!
For those of you that played in The Koopa Troop, The Missing Link, The Council of Villains, or even The Lunar Whale, I hope you'll sign-up and have a blast.
For those of you who are new around here and checking out this thread, you may notice I've developed something of a reputation as being "that guy who likes Nintendo games". All of my games so far have had that sort of theme- and obviously, this one is no exception. If you like reading the action-filled write-ups of a mafia game, I highly recommend you check out the links above for Council of Villains and Koopa Troop. This game, although being closer to Battle Royale in style, will have write-ups that are similar to the ones in those games- except with even more senseless violence.

There are several Gameroom members who showed interest in the info thread before this sign-up came out. This list reflects the fact that they've got reserve spots. They've got a week to confirm their sign-up before I will give away their position to someone else. Honestly, though, I don't expect I'll get a massive rush of sign-ups, so we should be ok.
