Your build seems fine, so the problem may come though other factors. Where is your installation located, are there any protection mechanism on your PC, do your start EB (RTW) with administrator-rights?

Tried starting EB with adminrights and I can start/reload the campaign without errors, thank you!

I still get a CTD when quitting a campaign.. not a big problem though because I tend to close the game anyway when I do that.

Blah. Looks like the better performance earlier was just a stroke of luck. Got a couple campaign load crashes again.

I've already installed RTW outside of Program files to avoid problems because of Vista, any other fixes you could recommend?

Nope, you did it all fine, you always can go for a complete reinstallation, sometimes this helps. Atm I got no other advice for you.
