If I have a gripe then it's the research. It stinks. Having said that the 8.0 physics is great. I love it.

BTW I got my KV-1 oh happy, if very slow, days.

The game just won best MMO of the year in Golden Joystick awards and so November 2nd onwards they're giving some great discounts and a code for free 3 day premium and consumables.
I've been grinding my M12, Tiger P and T-50 all together. Now waiting to buy M40/M43. Going to get it when the discount starts.

Also does anyone know some online store that sells WoT gold cheaper than the main site? I've heard about Walmart gamecards but I don't know how that works or if I can buy them online.

As for the gold thing, I don't think so, IIRC the devs said (might even be one of the pre-battle tips) that if someone offers gold cheaper than the official site, it's a fraud. It wouldn't make a lot of sense anyway.

I confess I'm not liking the Tiger P much right now, despite having researched the long 88. It seems almost everyone can penetrate the 200 mm front armour and it's nothing like the tier 7 Maus I was expecting it to be. Tried angling and still got penetrated. Kind of put a crimp in my plans.

Hmm I did do some research and checked out some dodgy looking websites and finally came to the decision to buy gold from the WoT store itself. As soon as they sort out the problems they're having.


On a different note, I would also be grateful for some advice on which premium to buy to earn creds. I've mainly played Soviet heavies and SPGs and I like the KV3. I'm trying to choose between T34 and Lowe.
While I'm leaning towards the T34 due to the awesome alpha, I feel a little uncertain because I've done a lot of damage to T34s in my KV3, and killed many.
The Lowe on the other hand has better front armour, but again since I've not being enjoying the Tiger P that much, I'm wondering if I'll enjoy playing the Lowe as a slow moving sniper.

I do remember reading that with the gun mantlet of the 88 the total armour for the front of the turret increases to ~210 mm. I normally get penetrated in the flat band/area between the lower hull and the turret.
With the new engine though, hopefully I'll be able to move in and facehug before I die.

Yeah... it is more or less 100% fraud. WoT does not allow anyone else to sell for them. These offers, which is epidemic in eastern Europe, is nothing more than someone buying gold from WoT with stolen credit cards and gifting it to you. When WoT don't get their money, they'll retract the gold and you get your account suspended or even banned. The fraudster gets his/her money anyway and you lose more than the money spent.

If you are thinking of joining a clan, I would have gotten the T34, which is preferable in Tank Companies (Champion) over the Löwe. Clans train in TC.
As to which earns more credits.. I don't know as I have neither. I use my reliable Type 59 for such...

The T34 is weak at close range but it has tier 9 penetration values, more alpha as you said and a very well armored turret, in fact I hate facing them at range when only their turret is visible, even if I'm in a tier 9 heavy.
The Löwe is nice but somehow not as scary as an opponent IMO.

I'm still pretty new at this but Husar is right. I'd rather face a Lowe than a T34. In fact if memory serves me right my VK3600DB was battered by a T34 last night. I think I hit him 10 times, all penetration and he still had over 30%. I died but my mentor Husar avenged me. We won the game as well!

I personally never liked the T-150.....the 107 was good, but I found it insufficient at tier 6, specially since I kept landing into games with tier 7s and 8s.
KV3 is still awesome at tier 7. The 122 mm packs a punch and many a Tigers have fallen prey to it as they kept dinging off my angled hull as I battered them. The tank is an excellent brawler.
KV1S is more or less what KV3 used to be at tier 6 before the Russian update. It's a lot softer but also faster and the 122 mm gun has the same damage as KV3, only slower reload. IMO it's the best tier 6 heavy right now. So good that I think they might nerf it soon.
The KV2 is simply a must have because of the 152 mm derp. Nothing like penetrating another heavy with a HE shell and doing ~800 damage.
So basically I suggest you get all three

8.1 and the gold round with credits thing is great. Haven't tried it for any tanks yet, but just buying gold rounds for my S-51. For 2.8 k creds I get as much splash as the T92. Been damaging tanks behind cover!

Also there appears to have been a problem with my gold purchase. First I could not find a payment option that suited me, but finally went with Moneybookers, now 4 hours after I received confirmation about the transaction on my email, the gold has still not been credited to my WoT account.
Submitted a ticket. Hoping this'll get sorted out before the specials start tomorrow.

Yeah I bought it from the WoT NA Portal. Had to use Moneybookers because I could not find the option of using debit cards elsewhere.

Not only do the Americans get a tree of lights, then mediums and finally a heavy, all with oscillating turrets (and autoloaders, too?).
We also get a Chinese Tree!

I actually like the idea and it only makes sense after they implemented so many camouflages for the Chinese.

This would make them near functional identical to T54 and T62 soviet mediums.
