    Default Generals Loyalty

In my current campaign, all my generals are coming of age with around 4 rings of loyalty or so. My king has maxed out dread and authority, 4 stars and I don't remember his piety. I was just wondering why my generals loyalty is so low and how to increase it. Perhaps it's due to the loyalty of the parents? Whenever I fight a battle with one of these guys I get the trait, feels unappreciated and such. Any opinions? I don't want any defectors!

make them governors of your high class cities. Make them win battles. Pretty much give them power

Thanks for the reply. Does excommunication have a factor on loyalty? I forgot to mention that I was excommunicated. To the front they will go!

Honestly I haven't had any general become rebel to me yet, nor have I had any diplomats steal a general away from me yet. I try and look at the loyalty tab on "prospective suitors" anyway, to try and get son-in-laws that have high loyalty to begin with.

I dont know is loyalty is bugged...

But after hundreds and hundreds of hours of playtime, I have still to see a general leave me because of disloyalty.

After having played some 2 campaigns several years ago, I just stopped bothering about the trait, and havent thought about it till I saw this thread.

I think it is safe to say loyalty should be of no great concern to yoo :)
Few are born with it, even fewer know what to do with it.

The only reason I look at it when candidates for adoption or for potential son-in-laws is because the actively disloyal ones come with dread and unrest-producing traits.
