Default Sarah Palin - Lunatic or Prophet

Personally I'd go with the first, judging from her own words.

It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news.

    -Palin on Fox News.

Canada needs to dismantle its public health-care system and allow private enterprise to get involved and turn a profit.

-Palin on Socialized medicine and exploiting the sick

Pray... for this country, that our leaders... are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God. hat's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan.
-Palin on the Iraq War (10th Crusade?)

    I would choose life.
-Palin being asked about abortion if her daughter would be raped.

I love those hockey moms. You know, they say the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick.
    -Palin on...herself?

As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska.
-Palin's groundbreaking insights into topography and Putin.

Tax dollars go to projects that have little or nothing to do with the public good — things like fruit fly research in Paris, France. I kid you not.
-Referring to a $211,000 USDA study seeking ways to better control Bactrocera oleae, which is harmful to American agriculture.

"The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' (lolwut?) so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil."
    -Sarah Palin

"We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn't that ironic?"
-Sarah Palin, admitting that her family used to get treatment in Canada's single-payer health care system, despite having demonized such government-run programs as socialized medicine that will lead to death-panel-like rationing.

    "Ohh, good, thank you, yes."
-Sarah Palin, after a notorious Canadian prank caller complimented her on the documentary about her life, Hustler's "Nailin Paylin ( a Porn movie starring a Palin-lookalike)," (I liked that one myself, good..erm...documentary~Skull)

''We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. ... We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation.''
-Palin at a fundraising speech, on the more pro-American parts of America

''Ground Zero Mosque supporters: doesn't it stab you in the heart, as it does ours throughout the heartland? Peaceful Muslims, pls refudiate.''
-a Tweet by Sarah Palin, which she quickly removed after being ridiculed for inventing the word ''refudiate,'' July 18, 2010

"They are also building schools for the Afghan children so that there is hope and opportunity in our neighboring country of Afghanistan."
    -Sarah Palin on Topography.

"I have not, and I think if you go back in history and if you ask that question of many vice presidents, they may have the same answer that I just gave you."
-Sarah Palin. Asked if she had never met a foreign head of state, despite the fact that every US vice-president in the last 32 years had met a foreign head of state prior to taking office

I'm the mayor, I can do whatever I want until the courts tell me I can't.
Sarah Palin, as quoted by former City Council Member Nick Carney, after he raised objections about the $50,000 she spent renovating the mayor's office in Wasilla, Alaska, without approval of the city council.

I'm pro-life. I'll do all I can to see every baby is created
-Sarah Palin, on watching you do it.

Why should Americans have to explain ourselves? You're quoting a cable news personality who was a half-term Alaskan governor and a failed VP candidate. None of which makes her a force to be reckoned with, nor a representative of the U.S.A.

If she is either nominated or plays the kingmaker role in the Repub presidential nomination, then I'll have to eat these words. But short of that? She qualifies as a media personality. I no more have to explain her than I have to explain the cast of Jersey Shore.

Let me rephrase it, explain yourself in 2012 ;)
From what I've read Obama isn't too popular in the states anymore, and that oneliners won't save him this time.
But is Palin really a more suitable president than Obama? IF she would be elected she would most likely just be a puppet from behind-the-scenes Republican prominents, whispering in her ear her every word.

    Lunatic.

She's not advocating banning religious books. And hasn't been elected to national office.

Lemur already explained why we don't have to explain anything. Plus, her 'refudiate' led to this amusement: http://twitter.com/normative/status/18872536412

You must eschew MacDonalds, even though they are located on Louisburg Road. As you obviously discovered, a venerable-sounding location is no guarantee of good chow. Next time, try the Hilton. Or a Fort Bragg mess hall.

sarah palin is actually... a bit.... too fundamentalist Christian....
but that was it, if she said she'll choose life if her daughter was raped, maybe she had the moral reasons behind it... maybe you must think about this from a viewpoint of a married couple who could never have child on their own, since they were infertile and pray for child... and in another part of the world, some girls dumped out her unwanted "not yet baby" in trash...

But then, I still think a bit of her sanity... come on, if that was rape, just abort it, and God will forgave you for doing that "murder", as he can forgave sins no matter how grave....
