I questioned Sasaki? ....hmm, I guess you can call that questioning if you talk about my thoughts on the "do or die" strategy...
But I didn't move my vote to Sasaki when he was trying to lynch a mafiosi, and I didn't say things like that to him:
No... really, we're not in the same boat.I dislike your posts. I dislike them a lot. And I dislike your pacts. And your flip-flopping.![]()
Again you refer to Jolt as though we knew he was mafia. Perhaps you did, but that's not the case for everybody else. You were quick to ditch the Sasaki-hunters as soon as you found out that Jolt was actually scummy and you didn't even back up your claims with any coins. I, on the other hand, thought he was our best lead and decided to be upfront in my allegations. More fool me for being direct rather than hiding behind the scenes.

You haven't answered my questions.
Isn't it obvious? You switched your "random" vote twice last round and hadn't even given reasons other than "Jolt is scummy" and "Split seems scummy". You were the first to throw accusations around and the first to try and take control of the wagers with your pacts.
I'm sorry, Sasaki, but I will not have a McCarthy-esque figure injecting panic and limitations into who I wager for.
Arpeggio: A broken chord. Arpeggiate: Breaking up a chord. ArpeggiateTHIS, scumbag.
I was never with the er... Sasaki-Hunters, so I never ditched them. And I voted for Jolt, a whole credit!Okay, it may not be a lot, but at one point it looked like we had a 106-106 tie and my credit could have made a big difference. Stop trying to find excuses to make me look as bad as you, I'm clearly not.
And answer Sasaki's questions, he's been waiting all day!![]()
First fold. Why are you betting all of your credits? It's obvious that you cannot carry this threat through.
Isn't that exactly what you've done?
Second change. Not even an explanation: "I'll tell you why I tried lynching him AFTER HE'S DEAD." Scummy as hell.
Pact number one. I bet you'd do it if you were about to die.
Checking when the deadline is in case you need to do a last-minute switch?
This was the killer:
Self-votes are always scummy. I'd have voted split were it not for this.
Why is Jolt the scummiest? Again, a lot of accusation without any evidence.
Yet ANOTHER pact that was just begging to be broken, so I broke it. If he was/is scum, with this he'd have secured that neither of his buddies would be lynched. This pact was basically instilling fear to gain control of the wagers. Any rational townie would stand up to it, and I did.
EDIT: So yeah, remind me why I'm in the spotlight here and not him? I'm the one that has acted rationally throughout the first round, not him. I used the information I had and drew a conclusion, albeit a wrong one and for that I humbly apologise.

Well caught Sasaki.
I tip my hat to you.![]()
BLARGH!
Allow Skooma to interject for a brief moment...
1. Yes he can. The tally clearly shows he did carry out betting all his credits with a respectable level of conviction, granted it was against a different target.
2. No, it isn't. As stated previously, he carried out his vote of all of his credits.
3. I'll give you that one.
4. Speculative. You don't know what he would or would not do and since we know he was willing to die for a vote he believed to be accurate, I feel the benefit of the doubt should slide ever so slightly to his favor.
5. Again, speculation. There's no reason for a townie not to watch the deadline in a game that allows it to be manipulated by the mafia this easily.
6. Your speculative claim does have some validity, but you're negating the key words that Sasaki intentionally left in there "without giving a thoroughly explained reason". To me, it came off a little demanding but the reasoning behind it stated isn't necessarily anti-town.
I'm not sure if your post is a defense of yourself, or an assault on Sasaki. In either case, you used a lot of speculation which no one could possible know that answers to, not to mention, your quotes of his aren't in chronological order, giving a slightly false impression of the way the round progressed and ultimately climaxed.
I won't lie to you, I'm quite insane, but with my limited sanity it would appear to me that you're trying to materialize something that just isn't there, and the thing that eats away at me the most, is that I have no idea what it is you wish to gain by smearing the name of someone who single-handedly killed a mafia on day one.
Stupid multi-quote. No manipulation intended there.
I'm not smearing anybody. I didn't want to drag anything up because it's obvious that I was wrong in the first round. Completely wrong. I only pulled all of this up because Sasaki demanded his answers to why i voted him. The posts above are purely the thoughts that passed through my head as I voted and are purely defensive.

Night One
Secura hailed a taxi, ready to go home and give up this entire gambling thing. While she had been excited by the thrill of high stakes betting, there was just too much bloodshed down at Papa Gino's. One thing was for sure, she wouldn't be heading back there anytime soon...
The cab pulled up to the curb and she hopped in. The interior of the vehicle smelled wrong.... but she was too upset to notice.
Secura: 23rd and Maple, please.
The cab driver nodded, and sped off. Just in time, it started to rain. She was pleased not to be standing outside in that. She rested her head against the window and looked out into the darkness, listening to the sound of the windshield wipers and the radio. She felt light-headed, and noticed that the back of the cab was filling with some kind of gas. She tried to roll down her window, and open the door, but it was locked and wouldn't budge. She beat on the window with her fists, but she couldn't break the glass. She was feeling weak, and screamed for the cab driver to pull over. Then everything went black.
______________
The cab drove for many miles, until it reached the bridge. As expected, there was a police blockade, but they waved the cab through after the driver flashed his ID. The cab drove halfway across the bridge and stopped. The cabbie got out, and opened the back door, and lifted Secura out as gently as possible.
Vincenzo: I hate to have to do this to you, doll, but I've got no choice... Boss wants you dead. He's getting tired of waiting for his payment.
The man lifted his silenced weapon, and pointed it directly at Secura's face. He hesitated for a moment.... a long moment. And then he squeezed the trigger.
Vincenzo: Looks like I missed. That's a real shame. But I'm going to pretend I shot you in the face. Let's pretend you don't come back, understand?
The man wrote something down on a card, and shoved the Queen of Hearts card in Secura's jacket pocket. Then he tied a cement block to her foot, quite loosely, and tossed both her and the cement block over the bridge. Secura fell over 150 feet and landed in the water with a very audible thud. Vincenzo looked over the side of the bridge and waited.
Vincenzo: Come on, I didn't tie it that tight. It was all for appearances. Where'd you go?
Disappointed, Vincenzo waited for several long minutes, but didn't see anyone swim back up to the surface. He shook his head, sadly.
Vincenzo: arrivederci, mi amore...
He removed his fedora, and dropped a single rose down into the river. Then he stepped back into his cab, but not before removing the cab sign and replacing it with a Gino's Pizzeria sign.
Vincenzo: It's not personal, it's just business....
Vincenzo muttered to himself, not really believing it for a second. When he reached the police blockade, he tossed them a bag filled with cash, and sped off into the night.

Killing Secura on Night 1 is sick, whoever did that will hear from her after the game
wager 1 credit: Arpeg
Because of yesterday's behavior.
I guess I should defer to Sasaki's scumdar in future. Didn't he say that Split was scummy?
Wager 5: Splitpersonality.
Could you elaborate, Sasaki?

Third on the bandwagon. Greyblades is worth looking at too; jumps silently on the bandwagon with a wager only very slightly greater than the minimum.

hehinteresting day so far.
I thought arpeg came out pretty well from his explanation posts. Not seeing him as mafia at the moment.
So we didn't exactly have a solid case to go on coming into today...that's why I've been holding back to see how it went.
Yesterdays success aside, it's going to be rather tough picking out mafia over just a few posts.
I'm thinking Seon and Skooma are the two scummiest.
Holding off on my wager for now. Can some people shift from arpeg to these two?
Fold:
Wager: 20 Beskar
This is the second time you've wagered 1 coin. You were avid about lynching Arpeg and I pressured him a bit, but now that you have the chance to put your coin on the table you low-ball, again?
Could you explain a bit further your suspicions of me?
Wager 3 credits: Seon I don't see the scum all over Arpeg either. I do see it with Seon's vote though.
