Sure thing - Diary to Galynea and Idol to johnhughthom
If God is great, and if God is good, why can't he change the hearts of men?"
-Tom Waits, "The Road to Peace"
As for what object goes to which person, I have no information to base my decision on and no opinion at this time.
If someone wants it, contact me and explain why. Otherwise I don't know who to give these items to, so I abstain from commenting.
I would also like to greet civplayah by escorting him directly to the block of warm welcoming, the wicker basket of cradling comfort, and the sharpened axe of peace and tranquility, on the wooden platform of sunshine and hospitality.

Let us give johnhughthom the idol. I think choxorn the idiot should djdfslfsf get the diary. Has any one seen link, the wheat farmer. He seems to be skulking around a bit too much.

BLARGH!
Skulking, sir? He accused you and Galynea yesterday of having wanted remake to get the orbs because you shared most evil motives. This morning remake is dead. And innocent. I see a motive for killing him there, I must say, sir. And a false accusation of skulking as well.

Why should the diary go to the little girl? I fail to see why she would be able to read it. Plus, isn't it suspicious that every other person in that house has died? Especially when she hardly seems to care.
I agree the idol should go to theflax but the diary should go to the scholar.

Yes, I said skulking, girl. He's hung around the fringes of the town, occasionally putting in a word or two, but never taking a firm position on anything. I find that at least as troubling as those who have reacted to the current crisis by locking themselves in their houses and never coming out.

The orphan is acting suspiciously. He's just a kid, but still...
(OOC: Bad vibes from Post #205, I can't figure why he made that post. It looks out of place, it also rings like he's trying to convince us of something : "I'm innocent, I'm just a orphan/kid")
I'd missed that the wheat farmer's spoken up about items. Thanks for pointing that out, girl. Here, have a biscuit and run along.
Link, you're off the hook for the moment.
Where's that shipwright Jerry gotten to. I ordered my fishing boat months ago and he hasn't gotten it to me yet. Maybe he's up to no good.

And I was so close to letting you off the hook before that, sir. A pair of item votes to the obvious recipients doesn't negate a complete lack of accountability otherwise. The wheat farmer would be a solid vote. Jerry is just absent.
The clerk scratched his beard.
"I think it's only fair that the mayor's daughter, Death is Yonder, should have her father's diary as a keepsake", he said gruffly, "and the idol would probably be best in the hands of a pious man such as TheFlax."
He refrained from casting a damning vote, however, as he didn't have a clue what was going on.
"Blacker than a moonless night. Hotter and more bitter than Hell itself… that is coffee."
It only makes sense that the Idol goes to TheFlax. As for the diary, I'm sure I could translate it, but if the mayor's daughter wants it... I will let the rest of town decide that one. I'm also suspicious of Autolycus. His actions are like that of a beach chair that folds under the slightest amount of pressure.

Midday Update 3
Something was wrong.
Something was always wrong with this island, of course, but today was something different. Arguements were much more viscious. People struggled for control over mere trinkets, and the disease of insanity grew amongst the populace.
People, however, marched onward through uncertain future like pawns on a chessboard, destined to die in confusion and panic. What were they marching on for, they did not know. To victory? Perhaps it is so, but why did this battle begin in the first place?
The mayor's diary and the strange idol may shed some light to this, but if they had any insights upon the fiasco, they remained silent.

My dear scholar, your reference to a beach chair is accurate, although I resent the implications about my stability. I am a retired captain. I came here to get a little rest. The beggar girl has been harassing me for almost a day now. She pointed out that the wheat farmer had expressed opinions about the items, which showed a commendable improvement. I therefore decided to acknowledge that and give him some time to take a position on matters of life and death, before I lay down to my afternoon nap. I wake up, and she's shrieking about my easing up on the wheat farmer. And I discover that you agree with her. I'm disappointed in you. A man of your education should know better.

As for the diary, let the little one keep something of her father. (DiY) My father was a, but I still wish I had something to remember him by, even if it's only to curse and swear at. Where is our Elder, Csargo? That old man always had something missing behind his eyes. Cold, distant old man, gives me the chills he does. Bah, I suppose the idol is safe with that priest fellow, Flaxy.
My tongue-garbled nature seems to be getting worse. My comments on the diary were completely confused and untelligible. The miller, Galynea can have the diary. She needs something to read while the grain is being ground.

"Oh, an Idol? Yeah, I could take a look at it. And, why don't we give the diary to Csargo, the Elder. If anyone can read it, it's someone with a century full of wisdom."
With that, he proceeds to sit down on a rock and teach himself Water Walking.
Edit: Stupid color thing, you guys know what I mean.
Edit 2: Fixed. :)

OOC;
Seon, you missed my vote, in the tally, for who gets the diary.
Renata, I think the Frozen in Ice the Scholar would also be a good choice for the diary, but I don't want everything to go to only one person (and he got something last phase) in this game as of yet. We really don't know who is mafia yet, and who is town. So I would like the spread the wealth (items) around as much as possible, until we do.
My vote choice, was just a guess since I don't know who the mafia are yet, and he is more inactive then others are. So 2 birds with 1 stone, get him out of hiding,or, if he is mafia great, if not at least my vote will not kill an active townie. I'm prob. wrong about him, but it is early yet.
