    Default .Org

Why is .Org smaller then TWC and .Com? I always was curious about that.

The community here seems to focus on different stuff, here there the focus is more on the off-topic sections, but the TWC is more about the actual TW games and mods etc.

It wasnt always like it is now. During MTW and RTW, still Org was the main place for modding, while TWC was mostly about off topic. With M2TW this started seriously changing. Hopefully with STW 2, Org will aproach another golden age with many veterans of the past returning.

I dunno, the Center has too many kids on their side nowadays. It will never be the same.

@Kage: Actually I think RTR is probably the main and first reason this change happened.

MP and Modding is at the TWC, thats why people go there.

.com is the official, so the people that don't know any better go there.

RTR is a big reason, but not the only one. All through RTW Org still had more activity in modding, but with M2TW things went sour completely compared to TWC. All the major moderations concentrated on TWC.

I'm not sure wether that is actually true. I'm quite confident to say there was more acitivity for modding here for MTW, but I think that at least halfway the RTW modding years the scene had already moved mostly to TWC. Fourth Age and the likes are responsible for that as well. Oh well .org has always remained the most pleasant one of all three and that's the ost important thing.

Because this is the elite board where only(well, mostly ) the mature people go and everybody else is scared away.
We're so elitist, none of the cool kids want to play with us.
I haven't played a Total War game in a while either and I'm not that into mods so I hardly see any reason to go to TWC, but other people do as they love modding etc. and I think the site offers a bit more space for modders to upload files etc.
After seeing some of the discussions there I didn't find it too appealing though, the org may have strict rules that many don't like, but I prefer this friendlier atmosphere here.

Husar beat me to it. The org is most definitely the most classy of the other two... it's rather pretentious to say the org is elitist, but classy has much more positive connotations. I suppose you could say we are more refined and thus it's trickier to become integrated into the org. I'd actually go so far as to say we are a divinely elegant breed, whilst the org itself is prestigious in its own right. In fact, we couldn't be more elegant and graceful, we couldn't be more kind and forgiving.... and, and.... oh who am I kidding, the org's name is sacrosanct, infinitely superior to all others. And us users are of a background not without racial purity unlike those undesirables of TWC and .com. We must preserve the purity of the org's blood. We are superior. We are perfection. We are the master race.....

.... I think it's just that we're rather tightly knit.
