Attempt to use the wire hanger as a connecting bridge between the two disconnected cables.

Strangely, the wire hangers seem to be made out of a non-conducting metal.

Slowly enter the east room, opening the door and attempting to use the hallway's light to my sighted advantage before having to use the lighter.

If it is terribly horrible and disgusting I will run away flailing like a small child.

We need a weapon. Maybe we can find a wooden thing and light the puddle on fire to use it as a torch, assuming the puddle is gas and not water or pee.

You grab the handle of door in the east room, and find that it is locked!

The corpse is lying on the ground, bloody and lifeless. The corpse has no head, it seems to have been torn from his body. The corpse is wearing clothes that would seem to indicate that he is a cook or a chef, as it is stained with grease and food particles. He's also wearing a pair of gloves, which are covered in blood.
