Default Playing again after a year.

    Hello!

I bought a new laptop recently and I am able to play this mod again (hurray!) after a year or so. I have a few questions if anyone could spare a little time

Is it possible to remove the random rebel spawning? I don't want to take challenge out of the game but, It is very annoying when 700-800 rebels are chewing up my trade in an area covered by fog for who knows how long before I even notice them. Sometimes they will do this far away from my armies and my garrisons are built around defending, so they can't do anything about it.

I am playing as Baktria and after many shortcomings, I finally took Takashaila (spelling?). The problem I have with this is that I can't seem to build roads in the province. Do I have to destroy one of the buildings there? or maybe it is just not possible to build them?

    Thanks.

    EB\Data\World\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\descr_strat.txt

Brigand_spawn_value : i set it to 5000 and never see any rebel.

Note that using the exe created by the installer resets any value you modify in the text files (well, thats what it does for me) so youll have to create a shortcut of your original Rome.exe and modify the path to (for alexander.exe) RomeTW-ALX.exe" -mod:eb -show_err -nm -noalexander - for basic rome it would be RomeTW.exe" -mod:eb -show_err -nm i believe.

Roads can only be built once you built your own governement building and reached the approriate settlement level (which you can check for baktria in the building tree PDF in EB\documentation\JRMC building trees)

    Thanks a lot!

I did everything as you said. Does the change to the rebel spawning apply to previously saved games?

Never ran any test but i think for those files in the imperial_campaign folder, youll need to restart a campaign.

It seems to have worked. I have not seen any rebels spawn in my lands for like 8 years. Thanks for the offer, though.

It took me a while to read this because I got StarCraft Ii and I have been playing it these past 4 days. I almost forgot how much I like strategy games... Too many shooters and RPGs as of late for me.

    Time for more noob questions.

Is it possible to build ships in the Caspian sea? I took 4 cities with ports there but none are able to and I can't spare the time and money to build ports to see if it happens. I would like to know if it is possible and if there is a city that has a port capable already.

Alright. Is there a way to delete the pirates in it with the console then?

You could use the move_character cheat to teleport a fleet there or to teleport the pirate out.
