playing as rome, thought i send my diplomat around hiberneria to dick around, bribing settlements and armies, and of course they revolted, but i was shocked when the two afformentioned units popped up in the southern settlement. i'm playing v 1.2, should that be happening?

yup the settlement revolted and they had one of each, so i guess they are still in, just for revotling elutheroi?

Well, more specifically, Cute Wolf was asking if it was the capital city for the Eleutheroi faction. If it is, it can recruit/spawn any unit in the game (that's just how it works for some reason), and I'm guessing that as long as the units are still in the edu (which they are for multiplayer purposes), they can probably be recruited in the Eleutheroi capital. But it does seem strange for the Eleutheroi capital to be in Hibernia, considering that it is automatically placed at the geographical center of the rebel "empire," and Ireland is hardly the geographical center of the map...
Alternatively, I guess maybe they could still show up in a revolt as long as it happens in the AOR in which they used to be recruited, but I thought that they would have been removed from the rebels as well.

The "banned" units are in the game in every way except not being put in the Casse and Lusotanni building browser, that's it.

ah didn't get the capital part for some reason, but no its not, their capital is should still be in eastern europe, i think its the boii area

Then I would think Olaf the Great's conclusion is correct and they can still be spawned by the Eleutheroi even though they aren't recruitable by playable factions.

Correct, they were only disabled for recruitment in the EDB, everything else is still there.

Check out the
Eleutheroi unit list.
They were a Irish unit that used 2 handed war hammers, they were disabled because the sources used to create them could not be found.

Go to export_descr_buildings.txt, find the recruitment lines for these units (they are available in multiple MIC levels) and remove "and hidden_resource not_here". This is save-game compatible, but don't forget to make a back-up of the .txt file in case something goes wrong.
