How do I change unit skins

Howdy,
Is there a simple method of altering or swapping unit skins around?
If I want the hoplitai recruited by KH to look like those recruited by Pontus for example, is it a case of simply amending some part of the desc.strat folde or is it a lot more complicated than that?

The reason I ask is that I don't like the shield design for KH hoplites and would like to change them before I start a new campaign.
