The map is around 1/3 bigger in absolute size than in EB, but covers the same area of the world (roughly). Sorry if that is what you meant I'm a little confused by you post.

So resolution-wise the picture is larger. But the coverage of the globe is roughly the same, yes?

    I'm pretty sure, yes.

Does this mean it will take longer to travel from one city to another?

Don't see why it should. Rate of movement is easily modifiable.

Indeed. The globe coverage is roughly the same but the scaling is different (as there are more pixels on the higher-res map). Just means that one needs to apply a multiplying factor to the original movement points from EB (if that's what a modder must do).

I'm hoping this means that getting around Greece will be a lot less of a . Forgive the language but that's the only term I can think of that properly evaluates just how little room to maneuveur your armed forces had in EB while trying to move around there. Yea I get that Greece is made up of mostly hilly and mountainous terrain but I would always feel like I was always being funneled along a meat grinder.

I know I should post this in the Mod forum but I can hardly hijack my own thread.

How exactly do I increase the movement of dudes on the main map? Its getting frustrating moving my Sweboz generals into the steppes by foot.

Ok so I think I know what you guys are saying but I still am not fully sure what you are talking about. So this means the map will be the same size I get that, but places like Greece will be a bit larger and not so cramped?
