I don't know what the driver was thinking when he did that, but it's amazingly lucky that he survived.

The only thing I can imagine is that the driver's intention was to do an impersonation of Tila Tequila's career after MTV's A Shot at Love...

Looks like a contestant for the Darwin Awards. Good thing the bridge blocked him from flying into the oncoming lanes of traffic.

Must of seen the cop car ahead and tried to slow down, but lost control. There's a chunk of the bridge pillar gone.

I hope he suffers horribly and will never endanger the lives and happiness of innocents in this outrageous manner ever again.

lol, most cars I see speeding down the freeway/highway are tiny Toyotas and the like. You shouldn't hope that another suffers Louis.

What happened was, that when Beau and Luke were in the car, Beau was driving, their jeans were so tight it was impossible for Beau to move his leg from the gas to the brake in time. Hence, the jump into the bridge. Distracted about the upcoming traffic due to talking to Daisy and Uncle Jessy on the CB. Seems they traded in the General Lee for a more gas efficient compact car however. 'Shepard to lost sheep...shepard to lost sheep...' I never had seen that episode before...

As a teen driver, vids such as these are a grim reminder what dumb teens like me can do.

Well, to do something as abysmally stupid as street racing, it really helps to be a young male. And young males rarely have tons of money. So yea, Vuk is right, every time I've seen someone driving with a severe case of testosterone poisoning, it has been a small, cheap Toyota, Honda, Suzuki or Scion. The people who can afford genuine sports cars tend to drive them around in first gear all day.

Very funny Lemur, I am serious. The people I see in sports cars usually accelerate fast, but keep the speed limit. They know that because they are in a sports car, they are gonna get the book thrown at them if they are caught speeding. Most people I see speeding and doing nutty stuff are in small, cheap cars.

actually, you should have Scorpion ready to respond to such situations...he'll sort things out in a jiffy.

Disclaimer: I drive a ... "luxury sports car", and I normally to drive anywhere from 5-15 over the speed limit, depending completely on weather and traffic conditions.

Kinda funny reading the anecdotes. My observation, and mind you all of my statements are to be taken completely at face value with no insinuations, is that 80% of the worst speeders around here are black males ranging (my guess) from teens up to late 30's with most late 20's to early 30's, almost all driving either luxury cars or large SUVs with visual kits/rims/etc. The other 20% is almost entirely white male teenagers driving 20+ year old "first driver" cars.

Speeders around here tend to fall into two groups. First is the casual speeder, which I actually lump myself into given my observation of traffic patterns. We drive usually right about 10 over if the conditions are right. Interestingly enough, people around here almost all tend to do about 10 over on the highways, I'd say well over half, maybe as much as 75%. Average speeds aren't always consistent, I've driven around at times when I'm struggling to keep with the flow of traffic doing 15 over, and other times it feels like everyone is doing the speed limit or barely 5 over. Most all of us fit into that category. Invariably we do get some of group two, thankfully by far the smaller percentile, who are the retards that do 90+ no matter what, no matter when. Rain, shine, bumper to bumper traffic, rush hour, hell even in their driveways I bet they do 90+. They ride people's rears, swerve to change lanes, it's disgusting and you always pray for cops whenever you see them.

I do feel maybe just a bit bad for the fool in the OP's video link, but he earned every bit of that. At least he didn't hurt anyone other than himself, and hopefully he learned a very good lesson out of all this. If he didn't, well... let's just hope he doesn't remove anyone else from the gene pool when he goes out with his inevitable bang.
