Hi, I have the "Gold version" of RTW, got through App Store and am having problems installing EB. I am also quite new to using Macintosh which might explain some of the confusion. I've downloaded the Mac-version of EB, the "Mod setup pack", through the EB-website and followed the video instruction.
The problem:
After I started the installation through the mod setup, the Terminal popped-up and I let it work for the recommended 15 mins. I then start RTW, but it crashes instantly, before the window ,where I'm supposed to write "-mod:EB", comes up. I then read the Terminal and it says something about that the installation wasn't successful - more than that I don't remember.
Now, as I open the RomeData.dmg there sure is an EB-map, together with the Data-map and BI-map. But it is only a few kB:s big, confirming the unsuccessful installation. So, now I want to try to make an install again, but now that I start the mod setup it only gives me the option to Enable mods for RTW in difference to the option of Installing the EB-mod. In other words there's something that stopping the setup from installing the game. What could it be?
Afterwards I happened to restart my computer ,and when I tried launching R:TW after the restart it didn't crash like it did before. So I wrote "-mod:EB" and tried starting the game, but it was the vanilla R:TW that launched anyway (well not entirely vanilla - I couldn't launch the campaign or load previous games).
Even after downloading another copy of the mod setup pack, the copy only gives me the option to Enable mods.
I have also tried downloading the "Europa Barbarorum Data files" from the EB website but it didn't succeed - I'm unable to download it.
I've read above comments about a Read & Write-problem, but I'm not sure that I have that problem since both the RomeData.dmg and the RomeModSetup.dmg are Read & Write for my user - though not for "staff" or "everyone".
I wonder what I should do - to make the mod setup pack work, to add the mod manually? I feel I need some (perhaps very) easily comprehensible instructions on installation.
Appreciate your time.
