    Thumbs down Den döda vinkeln

    The light is painful.

You open your eyes, running your hand over your face. You feel terrible.

You notice that you are lieing on the ground. The ground around you is dirt, against your head is something made of steel. Looking up, its an industrial bin.

On your right, right up against your arm, is a brick building, looking down your feet is a green/lime green building. On your left, over the alley, is a pink brick building, some plants, but it seems to be the side stairway of the building.

You attempt to rise from the ground, but your head explodes in pain. You hold yourself against the bin and look out past it.

You seem to be in a side alley to a road. Across the road is a blue building. Your view is blocked momentairly by a few cars that go either way.

What happens now, is up to you.

(as per the other two games, orders in italics, first orders will be accepted.)

You pad yourself around where you normally keep your emergency flask, and locate it in your top pocket.

To your disgust, it is empty.

    Swedish title?

Means "the dead angle" and is possibly refering to a song by Kent.

You make your way to the pavement. Down the street to your left is a blue building on your side, after the brown, seemingly abandoned building you awoke from next to. On the other side, further down, maybe 200m, is a red/brown building with about 3 stories. Brick then glass then brick. Coming back closer on the far side of the rode is a building with privacy screens out front. They seem green and cream colour. Closer than that is a boarded up building, but rings are all outside the front of it, instead of paint. Metal rings...

Dirtectly over the road is a blue building. You notice the logo for a TV network displayed in the middle of the face of the building. To your horror, you realise you can't make out any of the other words on the building. They are words, but you can't read them. To the right of that buiding, is a bit of parkland, then a red building. The stree slopes upwards that way. To your right is the pink building then road.

A few cars drive past, but it is quiet on both sides of the sidewalk.

Study the letters off the words on the TV network building for a moment, in an attemt to figure out which region of the world you're in. Is it latin alphabet? Do you recognise all the letters?

You know the letters, sort of...

You seem to associate the logo with comedy. And largeness. And sort of with movies.

You wait until a person walks by. Its only a few minutes.

Its a middle aged woman. She seems only slightly irritated to be stopped.

"Hello ma'am, I wonder if you could tell me where I am. I can't seem to remember"

She looks at you funny, blank look on her face.

She says something to you, but you can't understand her.

She sees your lack of comprehension, and mimes towards you, her mouth, her ear then a thumbs down.

She shrugs, with a sorry look on her face, gives you a wave, and keeps walking up the street.

Cross the road to the TV building when it's safe and see if they are open.

    You cross the road.

    It is closed.

You can't read the signs, but you manage to discern this:

    XXXXXXXXX 12-1

Theres no sign of movement inside.

You're now on the opposite side of the street.

I say we keep walking until we see restraunts or pubs with a name we can read.
Then we ask them where the heck we are.

That may take a while since we seem to be in an industrial area, or at least in some part of town away from residential areas. Then again what else do we have to go on? I say we pick a direction and just walk for a while, asking people we see if they can speak english.

English speakers are usually easiest to find at universities, goverment and turism. Hotels are probably good.

Check your pockets, check what clothes you wear and figure out your gender (by checking for breasts or beard/stubble).

That gender thing is always stupid to write out. I do know a silly one that doesn't require stripping should our person be too young.

Has it occured to you that we may simply have lost grasp of the knowledge of letters and therefore, we will never find any signs we can read or people who can understand us?

Addition to orders: If finding anything with writing on in the pockets, try reading it. If we can read it, figure out what language it is in.

Could be, easiest way to test it is writing something down and reread it, twice to cover if it's a dream. Global Aphasia would be nasty though.

    Global what?

    Check your pockets

This can be an add-on to the other order, won't take much time.

I think we should try saying hello in French, Spanish, German, and Latin, assuming our character didn't grow up locked in his basement and never came out until now.

    You pat yourself down again.

After reaffirming that you are, in fact, still a man, you reach into your pockets.

In your left pocket you find your phone. In your right, your wallet.

Your phone has no new messages or missed calls, but for some reason you understand why.

Your wallet has photo ID of yourself. It says you are 25.

You open your wallet again. You can read the ID. It has normal registration.

Taking it out of your wallet, you discover nothing on the back of it, but sitting behind it is another card.

Its hard plastic, and its mainly blue. You can't understand the words on it, but along the bottom are some circles, fading away from right to left. Along the top is a bunch of different pictures.
