    I wonder how you change the the factions names, colors etc?
    And ifyou need the pope for the campaign to work?

    So far the consensus on the Pope is the data is hardcoded and if you try and take it out the game crashes, I am currently trying to find out for sure.

    Yes the pope must be present.
    You can call him El Presidente if you want.

    Apart from that, no scope with the pope
