I have been playing a game as the Sicilians and I know longer get princesses. Well I do once in a while, but they do not show up on the strat map. They are also immortal. One is 165, another 154, 119, and so on. Whenever I click a princess in the subterfage status the game freezes. Anyone know what to do to fix this?

I am assuming you are playing a mod? if so did you do it yourself, if you did not add princesses as agents along with the emissaries at the bottom of the early.txt file and adjust the date according to the start date of your campaign that may be why they are not showing properly. Give me a little more info if you did the change yourself and what you did and we can pinpoint the problem. If you like send me a copy of the modded file I can look at the changes and fix them for you if you like ronin27k@aol.com.

as I remember princesses come with a born on date. assuming you made the start of your period later than default they will have aged this far. Given there is an event at 35 that destroys a princess this may have been passed at thre start of your game. In many of my mods I get pricesses who are -150 and such becuse I did the opposite.
Yes, I am playing a mod. The only editing I did at the bottom of the early.txt file is giving my faction 1 emissary and 1 princess to start off with. My mod begins in 1087 like normal and the birthdate for the princess is the same as most of the others in the game to start with. They used to show up but just stopped i believe.

Well that kills my theory if you did not make any date changes thats a stumper ? let me know if you make any progress I will try and figure it out I like a good challenge

I found this in the list of known bugs. It was written by Barocca:
SP Campaign
and the sicilian princesses bug still happens,
if you enable and play as the sicilian faction and keep the king in sicily the princesses do not appear on the strategic map,
Workaround
if you ensure all princesses are under age first turn and move the king out of sicily on the first turn then the princesses should appear as normal

in my game as the sicilians, you dont have to move the king; the princess will show up in the heir's list as normal when she comes of age, but wont show up in the agent list or on the campaign map. if you wait about 2 years, she will show up all on her own in the agent list and the map. however, if, while she's only showing in the heir's list as being of age, but not in the agent list or on the map and you click on her name, you will crash to desktop every time.
the workaround is, DONT CLICK ON THE PRINCESS IN THE HEIR'S LIST
i dont know if this is also true of any other faction or if it works this way in the default campaign game. i've only tested it and seen it occur in this modded game.
