Thread: Give Trait and Carthaginians

  1. #1

    Default Give Trait and Carthaginians

I'm in a bit of a sore spot with my campaign right now, where -every- sharp/charismatic/vigorous general I've been getting immediately acquires one of the "Administratively inept" traits, yet many of them are unflagging which makes no sense. Since being a crappy administrator makes no sense for the Carthaginians, I want to remove the trait yet I can't seem to figure out what's so messed up with their names.

For Example; I have a FM named "Danel Maninx" that has all perfect traits for either a commander or governor, and then NEXT TURN he gains "Terrible tactician" and "Administratively inept" yet when I try "give_trait "Danel Maninx" " or "give_trait Danel_Maninx" it refuses to work, and I've tried other silly combinations too, so it seems this previously perfect general is now doomed to die at sea.

Do the Carthaginians have a steppenwolf type of last name that I'm missing?

When they have no visible last name their internal one is ofcarthago, maybe you should try Danel ofcarthago but I doubt that it will work. Did you test DanelA - DanelK Maninx already?

That seemed to wortk with almost all of the FM's except for Danel and the second Hamalcar(though I haven't tried Hamalcar Barca yet). Thankfully, Danel somehow "lost" the bad administrator trait and become a ten star governor.
