Help regarding modding...

I just re-read one of my favourite books (red adder in english, swedish book).

anyway, I'd like to insert a general into the dane early game... and choose vices and virtues, command, dread and so on... Also change name...

anyway to do this?

explain to me like I'm a retarded 5 year old, I'll probably need it

Someone did explain what some of the numbers in the startpos files were vices/virtues etc:

It was posted in a longish thread at www/totawr.com by someone called Bradford-AOD or AOD-Bradford several months ago.

Unfortunately his contributions were lost when their boards were hacked. Maybe he's been redoing it (although '.com' is hardly a modders forum).

To my knowledge I've never seen this same info posted in any thread at The Org. Try '.com' and search for "Bradford"

I have a print out of that very thread by AOD Bradford it does state what the numbers in the titles you can give to generals represent in the startpos file under region Governor titles they are from left to right the numbers represent Loyalty , Acumen , Dread, Leadership ,Piety ,Vice, Virtue respectivley so say your general is in Scotland for example you look for the title "King of Scotland" and mod the numbers accordingly.

Do you have a hard copy of that thread as well as a print out? As it contained some pretty good info it would useful if we could download it to 'The Org' (after requesting AOD_Bradfords permission of course).

I do not have a hard copy just the print out(26 pgs.) of the thread I guess I could scan it and make a file out of it, about the permission from AOD Bradford I would have to go back to the .com boards and see if he is around . I will look into this in the mean time I could send you a copy if you want one. Let me know.

I'd love a copy providing it's in text format (don't know what scanner software your using but presumably it allows for text generation from scanned images).

I'll have a look also for AOD-Brafords E-mail address.

I remember a post on '.com' (after the hacking of the boeards) whereby he was apologising for the fact he did not have saved copies of his work and therefore could'nt repost it.

Maybe he'll be appreciative of receiving a copy from yourself if this is'nt too much hassle.

What I do remember is that it was a really class-act piece of writing/explanation from AOD-Bradford and would be a real pity to lose.
