    Thumbs up Casse Campaign

    Hi brothers,

I just finished my first ever campaign, and did it with the Casse bye 210BC on level hard.

I usually always play EB with Rome and only rarely try with a different faction though since with Rome I try to play historically it takes ages and you cannot managed to conquer the desired goaled places by 210BC if you go historically, plas the game always starts crashing so the best I went with Rome was till 167BC.

With Casse I tried to differ. a bit the rules and used less spearmen, more swordmen, and slingers and chariots and used to attack much not just wait for them to come to me though in some instances when you are heavily outnumbered you tend to wait and defend and do it as the kamikaze did.

First step I took was to send diplomats all over usually 2 or 3 around the 'world'.
2nd to dissolve the army and go on building my economy.
3rd Unite the British isles and get a navy.
4th Move to northern France and push first south a bit.
5th Move and secure part of the eat from the swebos
6th Re-enforce and retake the settlements I would have lost cause of Rome's progression.
7th Take the remaining Spanish settlements needed.

Are there some or any rules which one should use in order to play with the Casse for my maybe 2nd adventure or for anyone else who would be willing to try this out since it is unique..

Case is simple....take isles then spam fullstacks and export into Gaul/Iberia. No other strategy needed. hope u like it cause i find it a bit...... uninteresting.

You dirty, rotten... lol. How did you do it? Lord knows I have tried at least 5 campaigns as the Casse (my favourite faction I should add) and never have I succeeded. What's your secret. And well done btw!

It´s even easier if you take Bratosporus and Bagacos first, and then start building up your economy. You don´t need any significant army for a while ( Aedui and Arverni are too busy to fight for supremacy in Gaul against each other, while you´re allied with both of them ^^ ) and get insanely rich through the trade of those 3 towns. Once you get Belgian swords there´ll be nothing that can oppose your troops, though you don´t really need them to unite the islands. Also, if you wait long enough, the british towns grow large, the barracks will be built up by AI, and you will be able to field some cool units from there once you´ve taken them. Let the Germans alone, and move along the Atlantic coast, conquering all those juicy rebel settlements right down to Iberia. And while the pesky Romans are too successfull in Europe, you can block their advancements in the area around Massila. Works on M and H campaign difficulty, and i won´t be surprised if it would work on VH too.
Actually i think one should declare war on Aedui once you have retaken your "former Belgian holdings", because otherwise it´s getting too easy and all you have to fight are some rebells, at least until you meet Romans and/or Iberians. IIRC, it was the Aedui Kondederation, wich forced you to leave the continent!

I'm currently playing my Casse campaign. I have made one major change, which is that I have replaced my family members' bodyguard units with Rycalawre, the late champions.

    1) Disbanded nearly all my army and built up a reserve of cash while developing Camulosadae.
    2) Spent all the cash on a 2/3 stack which stormed the settlements on the isles, thanks in no small part to my bodyguards.
    3) Built up a fullstack, took Bratosporios and Bagacos--beating the Aedui to them by one turn.
    4) Became rather disturbed by the growing strength of the Sweboz, and decided to take their land before they grew too strong. Initially captured only the rebel provinces that they would usually capture, but eventually decided to initiate total war with them so I could secure my east completely.
    5) After destroying the Sweboz, conquered to the Alps. Began massive war with the Romani who were contesting the Alps with me.
    6) Trained up 3 fullstacks, concentrated one on the Romani to hold the Alpine passes, and 2 on the Aedui.
    7) Evicted the Aedui from Gaul, left one stack to watch the Lusotana, concentrated two on the Romani--including one full of champions so I could storm cities with impunity.
    8) Lusotana attack, and I counterattack with the old and one new fullstack, while the same old two fullstacks in Italy destroy the surviving Aedui in Patavium and lock the Romani into Brettia and Sicily.
    9) Pushed the Lusotana into the south coast settlements, continuing forcing the Romani into Sicily.

That's the current state of my campaign--once the Romani and the Lusotana are destroyed, I only have one potential flashpoint--Illyria, where I hold Segestica while the Epeirotes hold Dalminion. I plan to disband 3 of my armies leaving only one fullstack to guard my entire empire :) My eastern frontiers otherwise are completely protected by the AI cities with uber armies--Iuvavoaeta, Eburonum, Carrodunum. The Getai, the only other faction that could attack me, are fighting desperately for survival against the KH who have completely taken over the Black Sea coastline...
