3.15 am: woken by baby - feed baby
4.00 am: back to sleep
6.00 am: woken by baby - change diaper, check if baby's hungry, feed
6.30 am: back to sleep
7.50 am: woken by alarm, roll to other side
8.00 am: woken by alarm "baby"
8.30 am: get dressed, shaved, shower, breakfeast etc. while mum takes care of baby
8.45 am: kiss mum and baby goodbye and hurry for work.
9.00 am - 6.00 pm: work
6.30 pm: arrive at home, feed and play with/hug baby so mum can rest
7.30 pm: prepare dinner
8.00 pm : eat
8.30 pm: watch tele
9.00 pm: change baby's diaper while mum warms milk
9.15 pm: feed baby
9.30 pm: hug baby, play with baby
10.00 pm: watch television
11.30 pm: change diaper, feed baby
0.00: go to bed.
etc.

Oh my...

I think I could deal with two weeks of this. Then it's off to the adoption agency for the little terrorist.




Also, somebody please explain the Belgian that the correct order is 'shave, shower, get dressed, breakfast', or at least any order that has the shower preceding the dressing:

8.30 am: get dressed, shaved, shower, breakfeast

I think I could deal with two weeks of this. Then it's off to the adoption agency for the little terrorist.

Meh, it's exhausting, but you'd be surprised about how little sleep you really need. Well, not exactly. You DO need sleep, but somehow, one always finds the strength to keep going. Putting him in his own room and placing another bed next to his, so my wife and I can take turns in doing the "night shift" makes it all the more bearable. He still weighs less than 3.000 g, so you can't expect the little one to be able to eat enough to get through the night on one meal. Add another month or two and things should improve. He's not at all a crybaby and only cries when he's hungry, so once he can eat more in one turn, we should be set for less interuptions and eventually 5-6 hours of sleep.

Hey getting dressed first, saves me time and money: clothes and body washed in 15 minutes! You francophones with your weird, overly expensive habits! Your system means two times water and soap and a waste of valuable time. Taking a shower while dressed is the smarter thing to do.
