When I have my units in formation and I advance toward the enemy, sometimes they want to advance on a slatn instead of straight on, so they are lined up on an angle with one flank closer.
I try to line up the camera so my formation is parallel to the bottom of my screen and the center of my formation is in the center of the screen, but sometimes they still want to advance on an angle. Once they are on an angle, it is almost impossible to get them to straighten out, usually when I try, they just overcompensate and slant the other way.
Usually I deal with this by pausing and holding down the right mouse button and dragging a line untill it shows a graphic with where all the units will go, how deep their ranks will be and in what direction they'll point, but I can't always successfully do this, and when I can't, it makes some battles harder than they need to be because I have to move my units individually and they refuse to line up properly.
Is there a way to solve this? Some kind of hotkey theat when held down will allow the mouse to change facing or whatever?
